Globe Life doesn't seem like a very intimidating place for a visiting team, even in the playoffs. I didn't feel as nervous when the Blue Jays went to Texas down 2-0 last year as I would if they were going to Yankee Stadium or Fenway Park.

Even the team itself doesn't seem very intimidating even as the "best" team in the American League. The Rangers just don't have that playoff mojo that other teams have. They could have 105 wins and it wouldn't feel like a big deal. I guess because they've never won anything.

Teams like the Cardinals who will sneak in with 80-something wins will then go on a tear and beat teams that are better than them on paper. Some teams know how to win in the playoffs, and some teams are just the Rangers. They don't strike much fear even if they win their division. They remind me of Oakland when they were frequently in the playoffs and never did anything or Minnesota too.

That's why players like Jeter I don't believe ever got married while they were playing. Going out to different cities on the road with 24 other men and having endless supply of "opportunities", it would be tough to have a faithful relationship or marriage. The players that stay single can have guilt-free fun. Just make sure to double bag it, right Edwin!!

I just don't think people were expecting much and shell shocked after we lost the first 2 games. It went from nervousness to hoping anything postive happened. It's a similar feeling this year even though I thought we could beat the Rangers. The expectations weren't sky high. And a lot of us just felt really good after that Wild Card game. In many ways that win and epic blast made this season fun again. And anything after that would be just awesome. But we have a very realistic chance at going deep into the playoffs. The expectations just aren't the same because we won the AL East and steam rolled Baseball outside of Tampa Bay for 2 months.

it will all come down to whether the jays offense rolls or not. If they hit at all they can go far. they have pitching to keep them in more games than not. Estrada giving the pen a rest really sets them up better going forward

Edwins homer could be the Hanley Ramirez blast that sent the Sox on a nice little streak. So far, so good.

Just went and checked out the Rangers forum on MLB.com. Jeez it's terrible. Is that was this old board used to be like?

When Grant was the voice of reason over there I had to get out.

Tulo desperately needs to be flipped with Martin

Yeah Martin has been horrible with the bat as of late not to mention is below Mendoza playoff career which is a 200 plate appearance sample size

I'd flip Travis with Carrera, and Tulo with Martin.

Travis surprisingly has been looking really really bad at the plate last 2 games. I'm almost happy to see a K instead of a DP.

So you'd rather make the lineup based off of 2 games rather than the entire season? Travis is a much better hitter than Zeke. Dont let SSS get into your head

^ this. Martin not squaring much up. Looks like he his trying to yank everything now and pulling off. He has had a rough month and needs to be flipped with Tulo.

What a fantastic day for baseball.

Jays playoffs followed by Price vs Kluber, Kershaw vs Scherzer, and Lester vs Cueto. Epic.

Took the day off work for all of these. As a baseball fan these match ups are awesome.

So much good baseball today and I'll be in a car driving from London to Ottawa for thanksgiving. Sickkk. Extended family blows

Well nobody's saying Zeke's better than Travis. Travis of course IS a much better hitter.

I wouldn't suggest flipping them in regular season. But in playoffs you need to play hot hands (bats).

His ABs didn't matter yesterday in a blowout, but might have a more (negatif) impact in a close game.

That being said, I know he's a good player and hope he has better ABs todays.
