Omar Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 I wish Shatkins could somehow get Francona north of the border.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 The Boston series will be fun. 3 must win games. It's going to be fun to see Farrell really stick it to us and use his best lineup.
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 This series SUCKED. Looking GREAT for hosting the WC game with a 2 run lead in the 8th yesterday and we piss that game away. Vegas had us as huge favorites this game and we are just laying an egg. Gibbons leaving Stroman in to face the middle of the Orioles lineup for the 4th time is a damned joke as well. That's just it. They were 2 outs away from pretty much locking down that first wild card spot. Now not only is that in jeopardy, but even making the WC game at all is questionable.

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 Seriously.. Why was the outfield defense playing oppo vs Trumbo?
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 Shapiro and Atkins will fix this s***. It might take a few years, but I trust them. They did everything they could to prolong AA's little window as practically every pitching decision they made either worked out or was fixed when it failed (Storen), but the old ass offense couldn't hang. By making slick moves like locking up Smoak I'd love to see the huge offer they will make Saunders
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 the manager sets the tone of the offense, you either hit for HR all the time (what they have been doing) or try to get hits the opposite field, advance the runners or put the ball in place when needed. Jays lead in K and DPs in the league because their at bat approach. Your approach can change though game to game given the pitcher. Having a hitting coach who doesn't believe it day to day coaching of the hitters is a joke and has been the center of the offensive problems this year.

I'm also more optimistic all the time about the current management. I think it's good and the Jays are in good hands going foreward. I just hope it doesn't take too long to fix.

Lovely, back to the 15-20k crowds. Just fantastic.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 Are you f***ing kidding me? So now we go to Fenway tied for first in the Wild Card expecting to go through? What a joke this team should be ashamed for the poor defence and mental mistakes made this month. We need to seriously retool this offseason. Build around high intensity players like Donaldson, Tulo and Martin since they seem like they're the only ones who give a s*** You can't tell who cares or not. We do need to get more left-handed though. Saunders has been trash and he's our only lefty in the lineup. I think that's why guys like Ubaldo can come in and dominate. Take our lineup vs. a right handed pitcher and regress everyone's platoon splits accordingly (for righties it's about 6.1%) and it just isn't that great against right handed pitching. We also need to dump Gibbons. He doesn't understand basic concepts like allowing pitchers to face batters for the 3 and 4th time in a game.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 What's a neutral site? Better not be The Trop Anywhere there's no rain expected and not being used by its home team--and Milwaukee's available, as they're on the road..
Blue Jays Molly Verified Member Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 It's absolutely ridiculous that this team is in very real danger of falling out of the wild card, considering how good the pitching has been all year, and how good the offence should be. The offence is letting everyone down in a massive way.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 okay....6 straight hits please
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 I wish Shatkins could somehow get Francona north of the border. It's possible.
Josh Verified Member Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 Jays will get three runs and then pop up to end it
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 It's going to be fun to see Farrell really stick it to us and use his best lineup. Unlikely to happen--Sox aren't going to use all regulars if there's nothing more to play for, especially if Texas clinches tomorrow night.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 Hahahhahahahahaha stop looking at fastballs down the middle hahahahahha
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 It's possible. If you were Francona and had a choice of managing the Jays or the Indians who would you choose?

BlueJays Verified Member Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 This is not even funny anymore
Governator Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 If you were Francona and had a choice of managing the Jays or the Indians who would you choose? One might come with a bigger pay day with bosses you are familiar with.
Blue Jays Molly Verified Member Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 If you were Francona and had a choice of managing the Jays or the Indians who would you choose? The team that offered me the most money/superior contract.
Blue Jays Molly Verified Member Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 This is not even funny anymore This hasn't been fun all month.

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 What the f*** is he looking at? His many caught looking have there been tonight? It's not just the strike 3s. It's all the early looking strikes too. It's defies belief.
