Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 1-5 in September. Red Sox could take over first place tonight. Orioles a game back and the Yankees right in the mix as well. Finishing 4th in the Division is a very real possibility.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Careful, the wait and see, apologist, crowd will have your head.
BlueJays Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 I guess no more "we're first" posts from sparky? (For now I guess)
Slot Machine Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 This thread will definitely need revisiting in a months time.
admin Site Manager Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 I guess no more "we're first" posts from sparky? Has to be the worst defense post I've ever seen. Who cares we blow games we should have won, still in first!
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Overreaction 2016. If we get swept by the Redsox, then it'll be time to panic.

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 We went from favorites to repeat as AL East champs to underdogs in 6 games and the Sox aren't even playing that well. This team needs to get it together fast. I don't think they've been swept in months until tonight.

This is a place to express feelings about the collapse. Hopefully they can turn it around but this is awful Baseball.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Old roster breaking down in September. I hope that's not the case, but wouldn't surprise me. Get your s*** together hitters.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Author Posted September 8, 2016 You made a thread titled "implosion 2016" Probably because the team is imploding. Terrible strech of Baseball at a critical time. I guess I could have called it September Slump just doesn't hit home the message the same way.

Yup, right now we're not doing to good, but who knows with this team, if one thing we know with out question we are completely unpredictable this year, we could go on winning streak or completely suck....lol Who knows.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Author Posted September 8, 2016 Or you could have just not made a thread. Sure but I want to talk about the problem instead of pretending it doesn't exist.

STLJaysFan Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 It seems to me that the team just didn't have any fire tonight after they did everything they could to come back last night, and it just deflated them that they barely fell short on a remarkable defensive play at the end. If Gardner doesn't make that play, and the Blue Jays ended up winning that game, they probably would've came out with more energy and passion tonight instead of looking like a team at the end of a 9-game road trip and looking forward to crossing through customs.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Everything will change if they win a series against the Sox. I mean sort of. They take 2 of 3 and they'll be tied with the Sox.

We can turn the odds back in our favour with a good week. I'm not overly concerned at this point. - Jonn today @ 4:31 PM

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Author Posted September 8, 2016 - Jonn today @ 4:31 PM That's still the case. But it's crunch time you gotta win these games against Boston at home. Its do or die.

jiminy Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 David price may be the difference maker again this year. He only lost one game in august. He's heating up when it matters most. The jays look to be doing the opposite
