saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Last year on May 20 the team was 18 and 24 and had lost a lot of close games it shouldn't have. This year we've lost a lot of winnable games and we're .500. It's this point of the season that positive thinkers say there's nothing to worry about. Negative nellies will tell you the sky is falling in. Posititve thinkers are dreamers drinking the biggest glass of blue raspberry Koolaid they can find. Negative nellies like to call themselves realists, but they are just predisposed to pessimism. The truth lies somewhere in between. I'm a dreamer, so I think Troy notsotuloshitski will continue to turn it around. Martin won't be ice cold forever. Travis will return at some point and we still have a lot of games to make a run!
500LevelSTH Verified Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 theres some people dealing only in absolutes here...and baseball is a long season making the only absolute no absolutes. one thing I know, since the calendar turned to may, Toronto is playing .615 baseball, and the losses have for the most part been tight games...this is trending positive.

Yankees bullpen is first in WAR according to fangraphs and it's not even close (Jays are 11th), although it is interesting to note that the Giants and Dodgers are ahead of the Yankees in FIP (that one's for you NJH) and ERA (f*** you NJH). As for K/9 the Jays rank 19th and in LOB% 13th. http://www.fangraphs.com/depthcharts.aspx?position=RP

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 The Blue Jays will need to get hot soon. The Orioles are hot and might run away with the division. Encarnacion will have to stop being selfish and start playing like winning matters. I guarantee you the Orioles will not run away with the division

BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Which begs the Question..... But where do broken hearts go? Lol
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Should of been osuna in the 9th right? Not that it mattered in the instance
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Should of been osuna in the 9th right? Not that it mattered in the instance Not necessarily. Floyd has length which is good for an extra inning situation and Osuna could have still closed it since it was on the road.
