Seeing Thole's arm live really made this obvious last night. Kudos to Dickey for being able to hold his runners so closely.

 

I wonder if Thole's knuckleball sensei could teach him how to do things other major league catchers are expected to do.

 

The GDT thread had a debate about this....some said:

 

A. Hutch is bad at holding runners. Its not Thole's fault.

B. Holy f*** what a noodle arm Thole has AND Hutch sucks at holding runners.

C. Hutch sucks at holding runners. Thole sucks and RA sucks too, but can hold runners on well.

 

I'm leaning to B or C.

No thanks. Washington is way worse than Gibbons. Gibby isn't a great manager but he's still better than a lot of managers in MLB. No matter who the manager was here people would find a way to complain about his moves, its just the nature of baseball with having to make so many decisions.
