Yeah I agree. A hot Carrera leading off with Saunders hitting sixth in a RBI spot while getting Tulo some more fastballs isn't the end of the world. Saunders will go back hitting lead in the next few days anyway.

Exactly, this is why using Pillar as an example that you'll get more fastballs batting lead off, or ahead of a good hitter, isn't valid.

If Tulo was leading off, with the bases empty, would he see a 2-0 off speed pitch? While batting fifth and Martin or Smoak hitting ahead of him, would he see a 2-0 off speed pitch in the same scenario? Definitely and he has.
