BTS Community Moderator Posted December 2, 2015 Author Posted December 2, 2015 Anyone know if Delabar has options left?
Laika Community Moderator Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 I don't see being negative as a trolling offence. Troll's can only eat what you feed them. That's what the IL is for. The problem is that in any one post it's not apparent that it's trolling. You have to see what that person is posting consistently to get that it's all hot garbage. So they manage to incite a lot of responses
Laika Community Moderator Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Anyone know if Delabar has options left? Do you mean like, career options outside of baseball?
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 That's not really what happened. You said Jose Reyes was the victim and that he may have been arrested due to his wife issuing a false statement even though there was no evidence he was arrested on account of such a statement. You tried to create your own story and that annoyed many people. I gave an example of what could have happened. And look, he pleaded not guilty. Guess it's not as outrageous as you claimed it was. And even if I did say something, that is bannable? For presenting the devil's advocate side? That's your problem if you are annoyed by such a miniscule statement.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Portabello or Edwin trade in 3...2... 1

raku1108 Verified Member Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 if Thole is non-tendered.... that means Dickey is being traded! which is good news!
BTS Community Moderator Posted December 2, 2015 Author Posted December 2, 2015 if Thole is non-tendered.... that means Dickey is being traded! which is good news! Nah. Thole won't find a major league job and was projected to earn almost 2M via arb. They can bring him back for league min now if they want.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 if Thole is non-tendered.... that means Dickey is being traded! which is good news! Martin is alive
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 if Thole is non-tendered.... that means Dickey is being traded! which is good news! Ummmmm no it doesn't. Jays are pretty much the only team interested in his services. They will offer league min, or a bit more if some other team puts in a bid.

BTS Community Moderator Posted December 2, 2015 Author Posted December 2, 2015 I wonder if Smoak is like 3M with a 900K buyout on a 2017 option or something. 3.9 is a lot for him.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Wonder if Smoak will take back #14 now or keep 13. lol
Laika Community Moderator Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 I wonder if Smoak is like 3M with a 900K buyout on a 2017 option or something. 3.9 is a lot for him. Ohhhh, Smoak made $2.7M in arb 1 back in 2014. That is probably the influence that pushes his 2016 arb range up so much. I'm not 100% sure how the process works but I know a player's arbitration awards can't go down. They avoided arb last year, obviously.
Sorrow Verified Member Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 I still view them bringing Smoak back as Colabello insurance. Colabello reverting to a sub 110 wRC+ bat probably becomes a negative value asset. Who knows some team in a rebuild might also like him.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 $3.9M is too much for a guy to be depth in Buffalo. This means Smoak, Collabello, and EE will share 1B/DH? I'd rather the Jays jettison one of them and get someone more versatile for the bench. Edit: like NJH's Johnson
Cyborg Verified Member Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Smoak projected for just above $4M in arb.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Seems like the Jays could of spent 3.9 more efficiently then on Smoak. I feel like if AA was still in charge the consensus on the board would be that they hate the Jays offseason but since its Shapiro people are letting their bias for him cloud their judgement.
BTS Community Moderator Posted December 3, 2015 Author Posted December 3, 2015 Smoak projected for just above $4M in arb. Where?
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Tony Lacava not really venturing too far outside of his comfort zone this offseason and filling the roster with familiar faces. I don't think there's anyone on the projected 25 so far who hasn't been on the roster before, even Chavez had that infamous cup of coffee.

I like what they've done. These are AA types of moves anyways.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Colabello is going to look great with Rays uniform. Boxgerger
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 The devil doesn't always need an advocate This is the kind of rationale we have in a mod? Not listening to both sides?

Stop grasping at straws.

It's been a safe, low-key offseason with zero risk. Not much to complain about, not much to love.

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Smoak at $3.9M seems gross. It's not more than what he's worth. He'd only need half a WAR to provide a positive return but I just don't love giving a roster spot to him in the first place.
