A few hours left until the non-tender deadline is over and the Marlins haven't tendered a contract to injured Henderson Alvarez. I read an article today that the Marlins are considering non-tendering him instead of paying $4M for him... I hope they don't tender him a contract and we pick him up

Happy to tender both. Every-time I hear the 'trade Revere' remark I remember what last Mat/June was like in LF and shudder. Furthermore, the idea that Pompey is ready for 150+ games of MLB ball is far from set in stone.

Isn't it patently obvious to everyone that there are two extremes for trolling?

 

A) In good humour, funny, light hearted. Meant to be positive in the long run by increasing the levity of the board. More people are included than excluded from the "joke". (see half of my posts).

 

Meant to annoy as many people as possible. Strictly negative. Brings no value to the board. Only annoys people in the long term. The "joke" excludes virtually everybody aside from the poster. (see everything RealAccountant posts)

 

Sure, some people like HERPDERP fall somewhere in the middle and make things confusing, but when someone it obviously in the latter category and it can be demonstrated by a large sample of worthless content then they should be banned because they suck

All reports I see is that likely worst case scenario is he's going to miss out on the first 2 months of 2016... that's not much of a problem. Even if he comes back after the All-Star Break he'd still be worth it lol

 

Hell I'd take him knowing he'd miss 2016 for $4M. I guess Miami is hard for cash or something right now

meh, I got banned for telling people to wait until the full story on the Jose Reyes fiasco (which he ended up pleading not guilty). Can't take the forum seriously after that.

I don't see being negative as a trolling offence. Troll's can only eat what you feed them. That's what the IL is for.
