Not that I want to see Loup again, but his situation must be ridiculously serious if he is missing this game.

I just want a freakin game where we aren't battling back. We've had what, 2 maybe 3 games out of 9 in the postseason where we've had the lead first. It just sucks the life out of the game. We need our SP ready to go from the getgo.

there was a time i hated playing the yankees as I always felt they were still in the game, they just had the bats that could wake up at any time. We could be up by 5 and i would still be nervous as hell. Even though we have not shown up for this series yet, I feel as though we are still a threat. And it is nice to finally have a team where you can be down a few runs and still have hope. Whatever happens today, this has been a good year.

Whatever it takes today.

If Price needs to pitch to get Hosmer/Moose/Gordon etc. out in a big situation.. well then then throw him out there. Absolutely everyone should be ready to go today.

This is destiny.

The Jays were destined to avenge the 1985 loss the same exact way. I'm not sure if the Baseball God's knew about John Gibbons when they made this scenario happen, it's highly possible that's Gibby's stupidity far outweighs the power of fate, but let me believe for a few moments before reality strikes.

I said in the other thread but hopefully we get an Estrada complete game shutout here in game 5, win a close one in game 6, then get a Russell Martin wind blown triple in the game 7 to break it open and win it. lol.

I would think he would have to be placed on a bereavement list. The problem is I don't think what he and his family is going through is a bereavement type of situation since they never did it last time and haven't done it this time around either. It's such an odd and mysterious situation, I've never seen something like this during playoff time, to miss time on two separate occasions without going on some sort of inactive list.

I'm thinking his wife or kid may be critically ill, though I hope that it's not that severe.

Out of respect I don't think we should speculate....its not our business and im sure we all wish him/them the best whatever it is.

Martin has been a complete flop this postseason. If Navarro has a good game today it would be tempting to play him in game 6.

Obviously he was huge for us during the regular season.. but he's been a liability lately.

I'm also starting to believe that Navy is a much better game caller than Martin as well. Navy calls a lot of off-spead stuff to mess with the hitters timing, while Martin seems to call a lot of fastballs in hitters' hot zones and on 0-2 counts which leads to pitchers failing to put batters away (especially noticeable in this post-season).

Good call, hopefully he perseveres and/or is able to cope with whatever happened.

Please don't let them score in the first inning FFS.

GO JAYS!!!!

DO NOT throw Escobar a first pitch fastball anywhere near the plate. Changeup in the dirt please.
