JFD Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Volquez throwing 98 is hilarious. dude is so juiced up. hope he gets busted AGAIN.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Another pop-out Jose? Sigh...
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Close enough that you can't risk taking that. Every hitter knows that pitch will be called now....gotta hit the ball the other way.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Good hitten Donaldson? How come you can't hit him? Two pitches a couple inches off of the plate. One is a ball, then it is a strike. Can't blame JD at all, just horrific umpiring.
JPArenshitia Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 You do it to yourself, you do And that's what really hurts Is that you do it to yourself Just you and no one else You do it to yourself You do it to yourself
jacobdr4 Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 It was a ball but that was way too close to take. Standing there showing up the ump isn't going to help anything. By the overhead view it went over the corner. People gotta stop blaming the umps
candymartinez Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Bad enough striking out on a ball (was close) then you have Harold-f***ing-Reynolds talking s*** after.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 yeah......how does a guy pick up 5 mph in a few weeks at the end of a long season.....
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Harold Reynolds: "you can't throw a pitch in the same location 7 times and have it called a ball every time. The umpire will adjust to your pitching" Oh, so we're supposed to have moving strikezones I guess.
Floortom Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Bitch all you want about our pitching, but our offense has been a massive disappointment in the playoffs so far. Unquestionably. Most of them are hitting far below expectations. How many have over-performed or even met expectations?
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Volquez throwing 98 is hilarious. dude is so juiced up. hope he gets busted AGAIN. Could be they told he he only needs 5-6 innings so no need to conserve energy.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Two pitches a couple inches off of the plate. One is a ball, then it is a strike. Can't blame JD at all, just horrific umpiring. The last pitched looked like a strike. Way to close to take.

saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 By the overhead view it went over the corner. People gotta stop blaming the umps overhead view showed it just off the plate imo...but either way it was too close to take...you can't blame the ump whether he called it a ball or a strike on such a close pitch.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Seriously though what is Volquez on? It's smart. He knows he doesn't have to go 7 innings. All he has to do is go 5 innings and let the bullpen the do the rest

THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Two pitches a couple inches off of the plate. One is a ball, then it is a strike. Can't blame JD at all, just horrific umpiring. According to Gameday the 1st was a clear ball and the 2nd was a corner strike.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 The last pitched looked like a strike. Way to close to take. Yup. Easier said than done but he has to foul that off.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 This is volquez like 36th start of the year, 200+ innings how the f*** is he throwing 6 mph faster?
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 revere makes the ordinary look scary...just the way he moves
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Ryan "Gold Glove" Goins!!!!!
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Yup. Easier said than done but he has to foul that off. He called Volquez good hitting but hasn't got a hit off him.
Jellz Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 That's a ridiculously impressive streak
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Thats why you led second baseman in errors three straight years in errors Reynolds
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 According to Gameday the 1st was a clear ball and the 2nd was a corner strike. Their fox trax or whatever had it in the same spot and so did the overhead. Gameday could be right though.
