bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Collobello or Smoak? Kansas City is all righty starters correct?
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Collobello or Smoak? Kansas City is all righty starters correct? Colabello with Smoak replacing him later for defense.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Collobello or Smoak? Kansas City is all righty starters correct? Colabello was our best hitter against Texas. I don't think you can sit him now.
nextyear Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Colabello showed that he belongs on the field as the starting 1st baseman, even defensively he was good. If the Blue Jays get to the World Series, then unfortunately Colabello will be on the bench for the NL home games.
baubau Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Collobello or Smoak? Kansas City is all righty starters correct? Likely Collobello w/ Smoak as 1B defensive replacement or situational PH. You go with the hot hand and Cola has it right now. Unless he goes 0-4 or something like that, unlikely you'll see Smoak start.

Shogun89 Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Don't you guys miss Puck and Bat dynamic duo commentary. Puck - "HIGHT AND DJEEEEEP GET UP BALL GET UP BALL!!!" Bat - "Pompey is pinch running because Pompey has great speed. Revere is batting and Revere has great speed."
nextyear Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Maybe this has been posted already. I didn't think I would be happy to see Loup on the roster but recently he has been decent.
Mozzer Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Is it possible the Jays play day games at home again vs KC?
Brans Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Texas mainly has left handed pitchers. Cola is excellent against left handed pitchers. It is not wise to have so many right handed batters against right handed pitching. Justin Smoak is fine batting lower in the lineup. He has come through for us with big hits and he has hit 18 homeruns.
Yorkshire Blue Jay Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Is it possible the Jays play day games at home again vs KC? Monday's Game 3 (home game 1) will be a night game but I would guess every game when paired with the NLCS will be a day game so Mets/Cubs will get the primetime slot, so Tuesday and Wednesday (if needed) will be around a 3.30pm to 5pm start time, especially as Chicago who are hosting are on central time.

What is the point of comparing closers? If a closer comes in, his team is ready to win the game. A player in the closer role really doesn't match up with his counterpart the way players at other positions do. What's next, best lead off man? Best groundball guy? Best 8 hitter?

The 7 game schedule is kind of strange, they don't flip flop 5 & 6 #1 @ Royals #2 @ Royals #3 @ Jays #4 @ Jays #5 @ Jays #6 @ Royals #7 @ Royals

So we have field avantage on our side lol

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Would love to win at least 1 of the first 2 games in KC That's what I'm saying. We just need to take one of these two games and we are sitting pretty.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Would love to win at least 1 of the first 2 games in KC I think its essential to steal one in KC. You have to win atleast one game in KC to win the series. And its hard to imagine we will take 3 straight at home. The 2-3-2 setup is so interesting because if the road team can steal both games your in the drivers seat. If you lose both you're in a lot of trouble unless you sweep all 3 at home. I feel we can go into KC and take atleast one if not both. I think we are better than them. They are free swinging we have pitchers who benefit from that kind of approach.
puphood Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Kaufman stadium slightly bigger in dimensions than the Rogers centre in RC-C-LC by 10-15 feet and should give Estrada some breathing room with Pillar out there.....let go Jays

On the flip side this also puts a lot of pressure on KC team they pretty much have to hold us off in the first 2 games or we gain back the advantage.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Who's doing GDT? I am but I'm not making it until the lineups are posted. Which might not be until around 5. So no need for people to panic I'm going to be around to post it in plenty of time.
Mac Outlaw Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Any word yet on the roster for this series? I'm expecting Thole to make the cut this time, perhaps at the expense of Tepara. Or Carrera.
