  1. Excellent point. I think any reasonable person understands that one person acted like an idiot and that his actions do not reflect an entire population. It's just typical hyperbole by the media and too many people are getting caught up with it. On the flip side, the beer tosser is clearly a douche and the only punishment he should receive is to have his image printed on every plastic beer cup being served at the Rogers centre.
  2. I thought yesterday the broadcast shifted towards a Jays love in at times. There will always be a pro-American bias in the broadcast, but I do think we're a bit too sensitive about it. The only way to shut them up for awhile is to keep winning.
  3. Donaldson is a solid choice, but I continue to get more and more impressed with Osuna. Maybe not MVP, but damn he was huge.
  4. 100% agree and so do the vast majority of Blue Jays fans
  5. Interesting perspective. They made a few minor moves that on first blush seemed desperate and unlikely to work out but have worked ie Grille and Benoit. Hard to forget Lacavas role in the Free-agent signings, many of which have been solid. Honestly, it's too early to ring too much praise or criticism. AA did all the heavy lifting already. The real test of the management will be next season. I will say one pet peeve I have about the aw shucks manager are his comments about how hard it is to improve an already good team. I mean what exactly were you hired for?
  6. We gotta push-up those followers King. Gotta spread the truth.
  7. there is noooooo way Dickey gets resigned Heck, we may not see him start again this year
  8. In a lot of ways today reminded me of game vs Texas. Our starter was adequate, while their Starter had our number. We Never got it going offensively - always felt like we were playing behind. Someone key gets injured, Smoak chokes in a key AB. I've had a few pops but not enough to throw beer cans at people.
  9. So is losing a key player in game 1 of a playoff series gonna be thing now? First series it was Donaldson and Bautista now EE? Clutch spot there too - damn
  10. just curious - how easy is stubhub to use? Thinking of selling my 200s for game 4 & maybe 5, but never used the service before. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance
  11. I'm not comparing him to Travis. On this team, as it stands, with the offense that it has, it can hide Goins. Not ideal but ill take his glove any day - he is an impact player on the field. I do agree with your point on walks, but I also think its fair to note that he fared better at the plate once he started playing everyday. Clearly he's not a gifted hitter - he's not Devon Travis and im sure next year hell be coming off the bench - but if this team wins a WS with him playing 2b I wouldn't be surprised if he's a starter somewhere next year.
  12. Comparing taking a baby to a ball game to leaving a nine year old to walk the streets alone is not a good point of comparison - its utter nonsense.
  13. 2 and counting -including that unforgettable game 5. At least one more next round depending if I use all my tix - would be good to know the dam game times for Tuesday/Wednesday tho...
  14. Well he's always faced real pitchers. Maybe pitchers are better as a whole in the playoffs, but still... The guys outstanding in the field.
  15. Is it possible the Jays play day games at home again vs KC?
  16. That catch tho...
  17. John Gibbons = manager of the year in AL
  18. Taking a baby to a baseball game is absolutely mind numbingly moronic. There is so much randomn idiocy that can occur at a ball game that as a parent you are putting your child at risk and sometimes yourself at risk. It's called negligence and parents need to be called out on it more often. Simply because you have an environment where lot of potential accidents /incidents can occur quickly and without warning. It's like when I see joggers running their baby's on strollers on the street. What are you thinking? Like seriously. The only exception I think would be if you had a private box but even still...
  19. I disagree - if he can hit 250 and bring his defence he's a starter. Sure it helps this team can hide his bat, but that defence is as good as any Blue Jay ever.
  20. In fairness he hit pretty well over the last few months. Obviously he has struggled badly in the playoffs - still a stud in the field.
  21. I still can't believe what I witnessed at the Rogers centre today - wow - just - wow
  22. I actually prefer it over sitting in some 100s. Dig the 200s in general for some of the reasons already posted. Still nice to occasionally sit on first base line line 15 rows back.
  23. I obviously like their chances more than I did Sunday, but the one thing I'm mindful of is that it's very rare for a team to win 3 straight after losing the first two at home. Can't wait to be there but would have been nicer had Houston not choked so we could all watch it on prime time.
  24. No doubt he looks out of sorts in the playoffs, but this team would not be in the playoffs were it not for Price. He was outstanding from the moment we got him. I think Gibbons panicked a bit today but in the same instance Texas is heavy on left handed hitters and He wanted to lock it down on the road.
  25. I have 500s as well feel free to pm if interested.
