I’ve blended him in with all of the JD, and DJ and Jonathon’s that have littered the system over the past few years... (there’s a Larry and Darryl joke in there somewhere...)

So is he as good as his numbers say? Is he a real thing?

The numbers would be impressive if he was at least 3 years younger. Here's hoping he can become a decent utility guy or something, but as a 26 year old with good but not amazing numbers at AA he's in non-prospect territory.

Seems high for Groshans, Biggio and Smith. Or am I wrong?

It might be low for Biggio. Power, speed, and walks plays really well in just about all fantasy formats, and defense doesn't matter for most.

Jays sure love guys with the big leg kicks.

edit: there's no article in the link just the IFA tracker.

Foley ended up surrendering a 2-run dinger to Dylan Cozens and a bloop base hit afterwards. Final line is 5.1IP 4BB 3H 3ER 9K

Kevin Smith homered, singled, and added a stolen base in today's game.

Slashing .295/.347/.519 with 9 HR in 38 games in Dunedin now. K-rate is concerning, but to have a .866 OPS in the FSL is really impressive. Well known as the hardest league to hit in in the minors.

First AB Warmoth and Vlad Walk and Groshans doubles them home.

So Vlad scored from 1st on Groshan's double? That's a good sign.

5 days after he was supposed to be re-evaluated. Those 5 days have basically knocked 100 career WAR off of him.

Not 100 WAR --

Vlad Projection early June - 83 career WAR

Vlad Projection after 1 month injury announcement - 27 career WAR

Vlad Projection after re-evaluation passes with no concrete news - 11 WAR

Vlad Projection after scoring on a double today - 39 WAR

So it knocked off 72 WAR, not quite 100, he's back to 39 career WAR.

At this point one actually expects him to be pulled after 2-3 at bats. That's very typical on a rehab assignement. Even if he's not in the line up tomorrow that's OK. If he's not in the lineup Saturday or Sunday then we start to freak out again. If he's back in Buffalo early next week, and stays in the line up a few days, I'll raise his projection back to 51 career WAR.

We??

'We' as in my team of data analysts. We have our own formulas and they indicate that if Vlad does not play tomorrow or Sunday that is a bad thing. If he misses one of those games it's no big deal. If he does not show up in Buffalo early next week it's also a bad thing.... If he shows in Buffalo early next week it's a very good thing.

They obviously love the Groshans pick ^^

Yeah, they have him ranked as the eighth best selection from the draft (fantasy perspective).

https://razzball.com/2018-first-year-player-draft-rankings-edition-one/

A player with natural feel for the barrel, and raw power driven by an extra quick bat. This Spring, Groshans quieted his lower half, toning down his leg kick and adjusting his hands. The results have been harder contact, a more direct path to the ball, and better plate coverage. At 6’4, 200 LBS he has a good build, and the athleticism to stick on the left-side of the infield. The Jays have had an eye for talent of late, and Groshans is just the latest addition to a system already stacked with infield depth. ETA: 2022
