Brenner Verified Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 That's some terrible assuming sir. Hamels will be throwing Game 5 on full rest if needed - that's a guarantee. I am not assuming anything, those are the listed starters per Yahoo. Regardless, Price > Hamels anyway. If they slot in Perez for Lewis we are still favoured in that match up with Estrada. The Rangers should have went Hamels game #1 and #4. That would have given them a better chance at forcing a game 5 were anything can happen.
blurnandez Verified Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Where are you coming from, staying in TO for a few days? Rollin' down from Montreal. Hanging out in TO until Monday. Can't wait.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Yes, Price is better than Hamels and if anyone can handle lefties this lineup can
blurnandez Verified Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 I have a sneaking suspicion that the Jays are going to pound Hamels.
EMK19 Verified Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 I have a sneaking suspicion that the Jays are going to pound Hamels. Very small sample (one or two starts if that) but career numbers indicate that Jays hitters in total hit over .300 vs him, so I wouldn't put it past them.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Don't know if this was posted any where but Memories of mine from the 92-93 teams were the coca cola commercials they used to play and they did one again this year and it just had me smiling from ear to ear: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWGl3BLlINc

Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Song is pretty cringe-worthy tbh. Far from a music award just takes me back to 92-93 when they were equally as bad.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 so catchy tho Melody is good, lyrics are embarassing

Hamels just threw Sunday to help them clinch the division and would be on 3 days rest to pitch Game 1. They get him Game 2 and Game 5 on full rest - that's their best option.

SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 I haven't had a chance to read through the last handful of pages but this is from BPs breakdown of the series: First they have Pennington as the starter over Goins at 2B. And then this beauty of a paragraph... Barring an injury or blowout, Navarro is not going to see action behind the plate. He's unlikely to see action at the plate either, presuming the Jays decide to carry him as their only backup. On a related note, Pompey could be subbed off the roster for someone like Munenori Kawasaki or Josh Thole. If he remains, he'll offer plus speed off the bench. Carrera is even more of a burner than Pompey, and John Gibbons used him frequently as a pinch-runner throughout the season. He also could provide value as the designated bunter, since he led the Blue Jays in bunt hits and finished second in sacrifices.

That is written someone who has not watched a single Jays game all season, and did minimal research before publishing. Terrible. Almost everything in that paragraph is wrong.
