BTS Community Moderator Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Ross seems like a guy with huge potential to be a disaster. Giant injury risk, and he's rely tall and tends to lose his mechanics. I wouldn't want to bring him over from PETCO.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 doubt that's enough for Cinci. I would say thats as good as they should get. He isn't worth more then that

flafson Verified Member Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 oh god let it be Navarro It looks like they are looking for a cheap backup rather than a starter, so chances are probably against Navarro.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 It looks like they are looking for a cheap backup rather than a starter, so chances are probably against Navarro. What about Dioner Navarro do you think indicates fairly expensive starter?
flafson Verified Member Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 What about Dioner Navarro do you think indicates fairly expensive starter? Obviously teams think he's not worth his salary, otherwise they would take him long time ago.

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Amaro s*** talking again about his players. First Howard, then Utley, now Papsmear http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/07/15/ruben-amaro-paplebon-doesnt-know-anything-about-the-front-office/

flafson Verified Member Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Arizona wanted him; http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/gm-diamondbacks-targeted-blue-jays-navarro/ And they ended up going with someone who cost almost nothing. Which brings back my point, many teams don't think he's worth his salary.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 I swear if Navarro is gone, I promise to be positive about this team for at least a week. I'd be giddy. Gibbons would be drinking heavily for a week to get over the grief, though.

baubau Verified Member Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 AA has this. Reyes + Navvy for Miller. Please!

glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Navarro + his salary for a handshake from the Mariners GM would be enough value coming back. Just get Fatty off this team.

reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Wilhelmsen just got demoted and has some potential. If they can't shed the salary I say take on Rodney, he could turn it around.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 The last thing the Jays need is a s***** "proven closer" who will get high important innings because "veteran". Say no to Rodney.
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 The board isn't letting me quote you guys, but another name worth asking about is Farquhar. He also got optioned to AAA after a tough first half. Also I agree Rodney is junk, but they might have to take on some salary still.
