My cousin's funeral you said you were at was gay.

Being married to another man = gay

I am sorry, I forgot about that I was talking about John. I never met that cousin, I just went in with my parents to give respect to John.

Your cousin is not gay. But then again, maybe he doesn't think it's a choice. And I do not either, I think what I meant was people switch as in they realize they are gay at some point. That was a long time ago.

Ah. I thought you were friends with my deceased cousin.

Deadpool is friends with John as well. They're drummer buddies.

I have a Drumland toque laying around somewhere. Hopefully his business is doing well!

I feel the same. Except that I'm a teenager and I'm f***ing addicted to almost every cola drink.

That's so f***ing bad for you. As a 22 year old who used to drink a s*** ton of cola, I can tell you from first hand experience that it's terrible for your health. Doc told me I was at risk of getting diabeetus before the age of 17. Dropped that s*** quick after that.

If anything is gonna disgust you to the point of turning you off drinks like coke, it's probably this video right here:

Coca-Cola Zero is awful, though.

Is Coke Zero actually awful for you? I get it when I can because for some unknown reason I prefer the taste. I must be broken as a human.

Most pop I have is usually like a Canada Dry or something. I love pop but my self restraint is good.

I drink two diet drinks a day. Used to hate the taste of diet drinks, but now I don't care for the taste of non-diet drinks.

Sure it's bad for you, but it's delicous. I eat healthy other than that and exercise. Plus I don't drink coffee so it's my caffeine.

I was drinking an energy drink every morning for the first six months of last year too, but dropped that. Still have a couple a week though.

It's s***. The taste is bad, and the synthetic garbage they put in Coke Zero is probably worse for you than Coke. I still drink cola on occasion, I actually have a can of Dr. Pepper open in front of me right now, but I really really cut down on how much I used to drink.

Most colas are essentially innocent if you have them in moderation, like most things. Too much of anything is terrible for you, whether that's the sugar in regular Coke or the aspartame in Coke Zero.

I don't mind coke zero. Of course, when i am having it, which is about a dozen cans per year, it's for the caffeine. If I need caffeine, flavor is not super-important.

My problem is tasty beer. Goddam tasty beer.

I openly said it was small sample size... I never ONCE said it was the entire population. I just said FROM THE PEOPLE I'VE MET. You also need to learn how to read.

By saying it you were insinuating there was some correlation, thus people responses, we read what you said just fine, maybe think before speaking?

You make good points. While I absolutely love the taste, I do try my best not to have pop drinks all the time. Specially when playing sports, the stomach ache is inevitable if you drink pop before a game or practice, I usually go for Gaterode in such occasions.

Like you said, moderation is key, everything is bad if you abuse it. Personally, I really don't like the taste of Coke Zero, but other diet drinks which don't completely cut out the sugar are fine with me.

Coke Zero uses aspartame instead of sugar. Both are bad for you if you have too much of it, but it's probably a lot easier to "have too much" of the disgusting amount of sugar in Coke, so yeah I'd say you're picking the lesser of two evils if you prefer Zero.

Chocolate milk before anything cardiovascular is a really, really bad experience that I wish I hadn't learned first hand.

I'm certainly not an expert, but I think the problem with it is that they replace the taste from the sugar with some chemicals which are unhealthy. The taste to me is terrible, but not everyone is the same in that aspect. Sprite Zero on the other hand isn't very different from regular Sprite.

I'm the same way, I think of all the diet drinks, Coke is the most unbearable, makes my teeth dry and leaves a terrible after taste.

I think I've gotten my system used to not having as much pop as I used to have, and have developed a lower tolerance for it. There was a stretch a few weeks ago where I must have had about eight cans of Canada Dry in the span of two or three days, pretty much just trying to get rid of all the leftover s*** from a party I had at my place; it's probably the first time in years I've had that much pop in a short span of time and I was legit feeling heartburn for a day or two after. Actually kind of disgusts me now when I think back on how much pop I used to consume.

What the hell happened to just drinking water?

This was a problem of mine too, used to have way too little water for way too long. Started putting six bottles of water in front of myself every day whenever I was on the computer or trying to relax and when you've got it in front of you, you don't even realize how quick you get through it. Really got myself used to having a healthy amount of water and now I actually get agitated if my glass or bottle is empty.

It's actually decent for if you wanna drop a few pounds too, you don't feel hungry as much and as often if you're constantly sipping on water.

Easiest way to lose weight really, don't drink your calories, (besides beer, but those aren't calories, just little fizzy bits of joy)

I drink a lot of water. However, I usually prefer to have pop as a side drink with my food or when I'm just laying around doing nothing at home (obviously this wouldn't be a good recipe for losing weight). It's really just a taste thing, I'd never have pop when I'm ready to go to bed or having just woken up.

I drink about 5 liters of water a day. I never get sick, never get headaches, and generally feel healthy all the time. I don't know how much drinking water has to do with that, but never being dehydrated certainly helps.

Wow what a turd sandwhich. Hopefully things don't get desperate enough to resort to them. Depth continues to be an issue however.

You're just the worst. Let me guess, you looked at his recent year's ERA and completely wrote him off?

My dad always told me to constantly drink and somehow that just got instilled in me and I average probably about 10 glasses of water a day.

I usually sleep with two water bottles at my bedside lol.

I know this is a totally different conversation but I was actually just thinking about this in how it sort of pertained to the pop discussion. Like I said, once I got off drinking so much pop, it actually made me feel kind of sick to think back on how much I used to have, and I recently experienced a similar thing with high-caloric food/junk as well.

Last August I felt like cutting some weight so I read around, tried to find a good meal plan or a diet or something that was highly recommended, but I wasn't really satisfied with anything I found so I kinda just winged it. Cut out sugars (glucose) and carbs completely; no juice, not even brown bread. Went almost completely with protein with something like salmon, chicken breast, turkey or a plate of vegetables or something for nearly every meal. To satisfy my sweet tooth, I'd just have strawberries or kiwis or something.

For maybe the first five days or so it was f***ing torture, but you actually get used to it very quickly after that. I probably cheated a couple times throughout, probably had a filet-o-fish from McDonalds once, maybe Pizza once or twice, but I cut over 20 pounds (213 to 190) in a little less than a month (around August 5 to August 25 ish) and got to the point where even thinking about eating something as trivial as white bread really repelled me. Mind you, this was with very little exercise, I probably hit the gym only seven or eight times that month.

What you eat/drink has a huge bearing on your metabolism and for people that struggle to lose weight, yeah exercise is good the way it's good for everybody, but 75% of your gains and losses are based on what you're putting down your throat.

Holy f*** lol. Was this basically just losing water weight after cutting down on salt, or did you notice fat loss too?
