Yeah I cut out carbs mostly to lose weight after I lost 20 lbs, but I wanted to gain muscle, and you need carbs for that, otherwise it isn't gonna happen.

yeah but who can afford that...

I was pretty bad with coke (the cola) for years. I was a boredom drinker and every job I've ever had I was bored at. I had a mini fridge in my office and kept 12 in there at most times. I was drinking at least 4 a day plus whatever I had at home. On a bet with my Ex I gave it up for 6 months and lost 15 lbs. without changing anything else (a little less fast food as well). I was probably up to 5 coffees a day though. After the bet was over I went back to it but in moderation and have stayed that way ever since...but that first coke when I went back tasted better than any beer I've ever had. I drink at least 3 litres of water now every day, but i still have hydration issues.

You used to work? I thought you just freeloaded professionally until your parents kicked you out in your mid 30s...

I found poutines and pop made me gain weight. I used to eat 3 or 4 a week, and they always came with a free pop. I got up to 205 lbs. But after cutting down to just 1 poutine a week, and only drinking water and beer I'm down to 185. Only time I drink anything sugary is when I drink Jager-bombs.

Geezus. I love poutine but I eat 3-4 a year tops.

I used to change them up. Chicken on one day, bacon on the next, little bit of donair meat every now and then.

I live a very sedentary lifestyle and I just don't have the appetite for it unless I'm really drunk.

I can honestly say food is not why i gain weight.... It is the beer and of course i am not a fan of light beer i got to have the full s*** lol.

I think beer can actually help you lose weight. If you go on a full day bender, beer fulls you up so you don't eat. It's like the 30 hour famine thing, no food, so you don't collect calories and such.

I love poutines. You're right though, they're even more awesome when drunk.

Yes. You'll piss away all the beer instead of the food calories getting stuck in you.

That's insane. Good thing you stopped, you would have been dead by 50.

This might be the best thread I've ever read. Who knew beer was calorie free!!!

Great marketing strategy.

I always tell my clients that my hookers are healthy and they believe me. Bunch of stupids; they have venereal diseases in their vaginas that no science-man have been able to discovered yet.

Well I would be but if I'm not mistaken CA's a fisherman so I'm sure he burns a lot of calories during the season. That s*** is hard work.

Sometimes it's hard to tell. One of these females was a male... Would you be able to guess which one? Especially if you were drunk.

No, I go very little. My dad is, I take time off my job to go down home and help set and land traps at the begging and end of each season. But ya, it is really hard work, especially in the s***** weather.

Well good thing you're cutting back on the poutine then, lol.

#Bluejays won't be signing Ronald Belisario - sides got very close, but deal has fallen through. The reliever remains a free agent. #Jays

Seriously though, don't cut out carbs. One of the biggest myths in the weight loss industry today.

Complex carbs vs simple carbs. Whole grain pastas, quinoa, sweet potatos, some breads, etc.

Also, if you're serious about losing weight, beginning a resistance training program is probably a good idea. Increasing muscle mass = increasing BMR.
