Reyes Cabrera Bautista Encarnacion Donaldson Martin Is purely the best 1-6 in baseball.
bill Verified Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Thank God lawrie is gone way overrated player.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Would rather Shields than Melky.

FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Who got the best 3B in the AL? Not just the AL, the entire league!
King Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 God damn there are some f***ing retarded people on my twitter timeline
Ziggyy108 Verified Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 The same Beane who just panicked and traded Cespedes away for a Lester rental that didn't even give him the deep playoff run he was looking for? Wow. You are f***ing delusional. This was a great gamble for the A's. Lester was a top 5 pitcher in the entire game last year and was a huge reason they even made the playoffs. The Red Sox aren't going to get much for Cespedes. Beane has made some bad deals but this was not one.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Anyone think AA is done? Haha, we still need a LF, possibly a 2B, and pen. AA is all in folks. More to come. We only need a LF the can hit RHP. Pen yes. 2B maybe. I think we should still get a starter. Like Shields
Chappy Community Moderator Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Melky must be regretting his comments now, hahaha.
Ziggyy108 Verified Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 So many players on the A's I would have loved to see AA add to the deal haha but i'll take one the best 3rd basemen in the game.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Brett Lawrie games missed due to injury: 185 Josh Donaldson games missed due to injury: 6

King Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Chris King tweeting that there may not be a hitter in the minor leagues with a better potential hit tool than Franklin Barreto Well f*** that, we just got JOSH DONALDSON?
Chappy Community Moderator Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 We only need a LF the can hit RHP. Pen yes. 2B maybe. I think we should still get a starter. Like Shields Shields would be incredible. Big game James FTW !!'
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 I love that we got Donaldson, but rather have kept Lawrie and traded someone else. Still in shock

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 haha apparently Shi Davidi told Eliotte Friedman on the way home from the PTS show that Barreto was going to be traded.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Now for ultimate fappage, someone post the combined money that Bautista, Edwin, Martin and Donaldson will make next year. Or average, I don't care.

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 I'm surprised Melky even came up in this thread. AA acquired to of the best all around contributors in baseball. Melky should be little more than afterthought.
King Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 I'm really suprised we got Donaldson without giving up any of the top pitching prospects. I like Nolin but they did this for Lawrie and Barreto. The more I look at it I wonder why they made this trade. I mean it could turn into gold or turn really bad. This is bold. Oakland isn't stupid though. As might get decent value out of Graveman and Nolin but......... We got JOSH DONALDSON???????????????
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Would love Shields. He should be the main target not Melky. Agreed

L54 Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 This proves one thing. Either AA was forced to go "all in" in 2012 to produce a winner, or he has learned how to efficiently acquire wins and talent. Either way, who gives a f***. Fap.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Boxy, does going to Oakland equal "falling short"? As much as I think the players going to Oakland will all do better there than they did/or would do here (Lawrie can run as hard as he wants after balls now and he'll never make it all the way to the wall), it's tough to think that anything but good will happen for the Jays in this deal. Of course I've been in the "Donaldson can't be this good can he?" camp in all fantasy leagues. I'll await the Jays ruining him (this is much more of a hope than anything else). AA is having a good off season no doubt. On a side note, I also never thought the Jays could trade Lawrie and the Jays fans be happy about it (although I await Matt Harvey and Jose Bautista's reactions).

bill Verified Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Just the fact they got lawrie off the roster is a great thing.
