HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 I don't know a bout you guys, but we raped Beane here. How many years of control?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 He seems like a great fantasy candidate. Lmao Speaking of, there goes any chance I had at trading for Donaldson. f***.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 I don't know a bout you guys, but we raped Beane here. How many years of control? 4. Lawrie only has 3 lol
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Wait why do you guys hate this? Despite Lawrie having lots of potential, the dude's an injury bug. At least Donaldson has proven the last two years that he's above average on both sides of the game... also stays healthy relatively better
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Donaldson for Lawrie, Barreto, Graveman+ If the other plus isn't someone like Sanchez, Stroman, or Norris, this is massive.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Including donaldson's salary, not a fan of this. Isn't Donaldson going to just his first year of Arb this winter as a super 2?
Chappy Community Moderator Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 We got f***ing raped. Are you for real?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 If its just those 3 players for Donaldson Im really happy with the deal.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Wait why do you guys hate this? Despite Lawrie having lots of potential, the dude's an injury bug. At least Donaldson has proven the last two years that he's above average on both sides of the game... also stays healthy relatively better Donaldson isn't above average. He's a bonafide superstar.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Isn't Donaldson going to just his first year of Arb this winter as a super 2? I swear he had another year left before arb? Donaldson is Lawrie's ceiling. Nice.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Isn't Donaldson going to just his first year of Arb this winter as a super 2? I'm rock hard right now.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Reyes Martin Bautista EE Donaldson etc Fapfapfapfap
gbill2004 Verified Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Donaldson has a WAR of an average of 7 over the last 2 years. Lawrie was 1.5 during same period.
Eddiek19 Verified Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Donaldson in Rogers Center! Like it
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Donaldson - MVP candidate hitting in a pitcher's ball park for Lawrie - potential stud 3rd baseman with injuries but potential Gravemen - 4th/5th starter fodder, had no room on the club Barretto - valuable prospect I think it's lopsided in favor of us.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 This might be a win win for both teams. If lawrie stays healthy
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 If the other plus isn't someone like Sanchez, Stroman, or Norris, this is massive. Ya, I'm slightly worried about the other +. Especially after Syndergarrd was a + in the Dickey trade.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Jonn, as usual, is an idiot. This is a slam dunk, 100%. Holy f*** idk what happened to AA but he is killing it this offseason. I feel rejuvenated, Martin was one thing but this trade is f***ing bonkers.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Sean Nolin included. I don't mind. Though depth took a hit.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Donaldson isn't above average. He's a bonafide superstar. I was just underscoring it, but holy crap how do people hate this move. Lawrie is as fragile as a glass, and has flopped over the past 2 years
Caper Verified Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Wow Barreto makes it tough to swallow Traded another f***ing postion player prospect. Fully expect barreto to be a star in this league Kid is only 18. We will all be dead by the time he is ready.
metafour Verified Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Donaldson isn't above average. He's a bonafide superstar. Yup. WAR around 7 the last two years. Plus you have to expect his hitting will get even better in Rogers.
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 I like the deal. Josh Donaldson is a monster, and is still only in pre-arb years.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Sean Nolin too. Deal is done.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 I swear he had another year left before arb? Donaldson is Lawrie's ceiling. Nice. Super 2...
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Barreto was to much. He was our top postion player prospect in my opinion. Its going to take me some time. If it makes you feel better, at least Donaldson is the type of player worth giving up a top prospect for, as opposed to the Marlins' and Mets' used trash.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Barreto is really far away and won't provide power and won't stick at ss. The team wasn't going to get Donaldson without giving up a top prospect and Barreto hurts the least of any of the good prospects. Stroman, Sanchez, Norris and Pompey are still in the fold, and Brett Lawrie was upgraded to Donaldson. That's pretty f***in' good.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Donaldson - MVP candidate hitting in a pitcher's ball park for Lawrie - potential stud 3rd baseman with injuries but potential Gravemen - 4th/5th starter fodder, had no room on the club Barretto - valuable prospect I think it's lopsided in favor of us. This is what does it for me! The fact he's putting up these numbers in the Coliseum... Imagine him in the RC! Wow!
baubau Verified Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Martin? Donaldson? I am now convinced that BTS has a mind control device which he is using on AA. I love it! <3
