Especially for a guy who will likely be DFAd if he doesn't start hitting or playing decent defense at catcher, as Robinson Chirinos has outplayed him by quite a bit.

Yeah, he shouldn't be yapping at all. Still, it does make one wonder about our clubhouse culture as there has been those whispers in the past.

If Sabathia had learned to adapt, he wouldn't be a risk for continued regression. With the decline of the Yankees team due to age, this is the last thing they need, especially with the ascent of the Red Sox, Rays, Jays(I expect them to be better than last season) and Orioles.. Without a decent Sabathia, the Yanks could easily be a 5th place team, as Kuroda and Tanaka cannot be expected to carry the team.

I wonder what he'll be saying when Soto takes the full-time catcher duties? His 3 for 22 in ST so far is not going to impress anyone in Rangers front office.

I am pretty sure he was ring leader when it came to our clubhouse. Whenever you have a guy yapping and putting words in other peoples mouths and your a terrible player.... That would drive me crazy and I'd probably fight that guy. Hes also bringing down my production in the grand scheme things with his lack of production at the plate, errrors and s***** game calling in the field.

Beachy to see DR Andrews on Monday with Medlen . Maybe not his biceps . Wow if he needs another Tommy John Atlanta will have really been hit hard . Shades of what the jays went thru .

No kidding! Thanks to Hudson going to SF, Beachy and Medlen going down to Tommy John surgery, and Minor's slow recovery from offseason surgery, this is the projected rotation according to MLBDepthCharts:

 

1. Julio Teheran

2. Alex Wood

3. Freddy Garcia

4. David Hale

5. Ervin Santana (mid-April) or Mike Minor (depends on recovery time)

 

After this, the rotation in the minors gets dicey..

And more injury woes for pitchers:

 

A's pitchers AJ Griffin (right elbow issue) and Jarrod Parker (right forearm tightness) are heading for the DL. Tommy Milone will take one rotation spot, former Blue Jay Jeese Chavez is expect to get the other.. hold your breath, A's fans.. last time he started in Toronto, he had HR and command issues.. Not good if you're an A's fans, but great for Angels, Rangers and Mariners fans..

He had a 96 xFIP- with the Jays. Pretty darn good.

 

He gave up a ton of homeruns which is one of the last things to stabilize. It was really ridiculous how much crap he took from the fans. AdamGreenwood, of all people, was one of his rare defenders.

Wow, he's consistent. Grant, on the other hand, will draft some of the same Red Sox players he bashes or ignore players he's hyped up which is how you can know what he truly thinks.

I like Jesse Chavez as a reliever, though as a starter I don't see how he'll be effective. Well probably pitching in Oakland, he'll produce decent results and I'm sure he can have a Chad Gaudin type season. If he was a starter in Toronto, he'd be destroyed.

Yea , I got Parker in two of my leagues and in those leagues there is no one to replace him . Had to grab Lucas Harrell . I might be alright if Robby Ross gets the 5th spot in Texas

LOL @ bragging about making $3 million a year. His bonus was 875K and he'll be lucky to ever draw a major league salary.

Can we please get Brad Miller and let them keep Franklin. Brad Miller is super fantastic and all spring they are batting him low in the batting order and actually making him compete for a spot at shortstop he deserves. Let them keep Franklin and take Miller please.

Hech news. So FanGraphs recenty started showing InsideEdge defense data. I was playing around and putting it into runs. Here's what I got for the leaders last year:
