Would it be possible to implement an alerts system? Basically just getting a notification if somebody quotes or thanks your post, or posts in a thread you have listed as "watched".

 

We've always had quote notifications. I've been using it since I joined.

 

Settings > General Settings >

We've also always had thread subscriptions:

And you can check what posts you've been thanked for by going to your User Profile (click your name at the top right), clicking "About Me", and hitting "Find all thanked posts by 43211234"

Yes, other pages loaded normally, the board just had a half hour long fritz where pages wouldn't load well for me. Gone now. Weird.

I disabled adblocker for this site just for you I never click on ads though regardless, but maybe you'll get some extra impressions. You might be better off with an affiliate program that sells tickets or something, if one exists. Maybe call up the Jays and see if there's something they could offer, given the traffic this site generates.

Rogers could use it for more than just Jays though. Promoting phones, packages, etc to a fairly targeted audience run by a 3rd party could be worth their while.

Nah, the emails suddenly disappeared one day about six months back, and I check my junk folders regularly. Also, the board setting, as you laid out above, is still turned on for me.

 

Oh, and I still don't get emails for PMs.

 

This website is a shitshow. Time to pack it in, methinks.

I'm currently receiving and sending a whole lot of ghost PMs where messages are actually typed and sent, but it's just a blank message to the other party.

 

I can confirm that this is happening on both PC and mobile.
