Raps fought hard tonight. Thought they could have pulled it through and it would have changed the outlook of this series big time. Sucks they couldn't hang on. Some missed free throws at the end really hurt as well.

Embiid made one of hell of a shot.

Incredible comeback for Memphis tonight. Down 26 in the 4th they outscore Minnesota like 37-12 to win. I'm upset they'll face off v. the Warriors in Round 2. That's going to be one hell of a series.

Tip your hat, Raps had a good season. Tough loss.

Making the playoffs for this team after the start they had was a big accomplishment. Raps are heading in the right direction. Barnes will only get better, OG as well as long as he's healthy. Nick Nurse and his coaching staff is one of the best in the game! Hope in the next 2-3 years, Raps are back to being legit NBA Final contenders.

I felt like Pascal also took a huge step forward this year, maybe less so in the numbers, but in the decisions he made. Lots to like about the team. I was hoping Flynn would have shown a bit more.

Is there a big star available?

Yeah Pascal looked a lot better this season than the last two seasons. He's still not a superstar/franchise guy to carry a team, but definitely a very strong secondary piece if the Raptors were able to bring in another elite player like how they did with Leonard for 2019.

Not sure via trade, but as a free agent, doubt any big star would sign here anyways.

Well that blows.

Most NBA players want to stay in the US. Raptors couldn't even bring back Leonard after winning a championship and pretty much handing him the keys to the city and the full red carpet treatment.

Only way is the Raps can trade for an elite talent with 1-2 years of control left and hope during that window they can make the Finals.

Gonna say no. I don’t see him developing the shooting or offensive creation to be at that level. I think he can be an extremely versatile definsive anchor who can guard up and down the height spectrum and be a 2nd or 3rd option on offence.

What type of ceiling does Barnes have? Can he be that elite superstar/franchise player that carries a team?

His ceiling is Kevin Garnett. We'll see if he can reach that.

probably not, lacks the offensive raw talent / flair.

but could be the #2 player on a great team, right. and do some sneaky valuable WAR stuff all the time.

I'm not sure. I don't think he has the high end elite offense. But he will be an excellent around round guy. He'll be the leader, the heart and soul guy. Would love to see his offense develop to the point where he can carry a team and put up 40 at will, if needed though.

Not a fan of the pick, but what do I know.

Just seems to dumb to be drafting a guy with such a limited ability to score

That’s the winner. Still not too bad with the complaining though

Runner ups: Krylian and Dinger with their slightly less than lukewarm takes

Happy to see Barnes be able to play yesterday. If the Raps were able to squeeze out that win in Game 3, damn would have had a series. Will be tough to win 3 more games in a row.

My post was completely reasonable at the time.

His offensive game was much more developed than anyone anticipated.

Come on Raptors, just two more games of this. This is exactly what I've been expecting all series. The Raptors can contain Embiid (I'm now 3-1 on betting under his game point totals and only lost the OT game). It was Maxey and Harris that were killing them. Having FVV out might be a blessing in disguise despite him usually being the rock to lean on.
