he has a 139 wrc+ with a .311 babip you don't need pop

He's also 22 and in A... that age is above the league average.

He's nothing. Like I said, a nice looking prospect for Bisons fans to get excited about.

Alford 2-3 with 2 walks.

24 walks in 27 games. I am excited. Best position prospect? (not counting Pompey).

Ryan Goins part deux

Alford 2-3, both singles, 2 BB and 1 K. Common Anthony, its time start going deep, everything else is impressive, even the K's are down to a more manageable level but we need some homeruns

Jansen and Urena went deep, Jansen's gonna end up with a very impressive offensive season, the kind you can't ignore regardless of when he was drafted. There's literally nothing flawed about him offensively, he's got power, he doesn't strike out and draws a lot of walks.

Urena has Kevin Pillar level patience at the plate and its hurting his overall numbers but 6 homeruns in a 155 PA's means something. And he's the 2nd youngest player in the league

I wouldn't worry too much about the homers right now. He still has the plus raw power, just needs to find the right approach to tap into it.

Locastro is also from upstate NY. Cold weather players are always behind in their developmental stages. He's radar worthy for the next few years.

Given the profile, he's utterly ignorable until he holds his own in AA.

Boyd so far: 7-IP, 3-H, 1-ER (HR), 1-BB, 8-K. Shouldn't this guy be in AAA already? I guess he's too old to be promoted or something.

It's not a talent thing. They just already have 5 (or more) starters taking turns in AAA. Castro, Wolf, Albers, Norris, Doubront, Jenkins, and maybe whichever of Copeland/Redmond is down there.

It's not like there is a big talent gap between AAA and AA. A lot of top pitching/hitting prospects either skip AAA entirely or only stay there briefly.

I think Wolf has an opt out clause coming up on June 1st, unless he's called up so that could open up a spot.

They also plan on re-calling Castro.

Anyway. ..

I wouldn't say ignorable. He puts the ball in play with a fantastic BB/K ratio. Great speed and base stealer for a guy his size (6'1 200). He obviously has good pitch recognition skills, as he has great OBP numbers for the past 2.5 years. Baseball is a funny game and there are plenty of late bloomers, especially from the colder climates.

He played SS in college,so I guess he has a decent arm. I'm trying to get some info on his defence. I saw a few videos from college, and he has a short compact swing. He appears not to be afraid to let the ball travel, which is a great ingredient in a batter's approach.

Flashback to my first year on the board, when Scott Campbell and his .279/.390/.397 22 year old season in Lansing was all the craze. "He was born in New Zealand he didn't get to play every day, he's a late bloomer". . At least Locastro has pinch runner possibilities.
