  1. Hey everybody at BJMB, did you guys all know this?!?! I don't think anybody here knew this thanks for letting us know. I mean, we all just became Blue Jays fans yesterday you f***ing dipshit. Thank god you're here now to give us all a history lesson. Too bad for KK that he didn't consult a genius like you before he took less money to sign with the Jays because apparently the Jays are 0-6 in their last three wild card series. f***ing too many idiots around here, my god.
  2. No kidding. They tried for all the big names, even were in on Soto. What the f*** are they supposed to do, just give up and don't sign anybody because they missed out on the top tier guys? Still need solid depth everywhere on the diamond.
  3. Pearson will figure it out at some point and be a valuable high leverage reliever or maybe even a closer. I hope he's still on the jays when it happens.
  4. I'd still way rather have Machado, especially if the Jays get some salary relief. His offensive ceiling is way higher and he has a much better chance of reaching it in my opinion, plus he still brings a solid glove at 3B too. He makes the Jays a much better team for the next 4-5 years, but yeah...it hurts after that for sure.
  5. Should the Jays trade for Machado?? *ducks* lol Terrible contract, still a decent 3B for a few more years probably. They'd have to eat some of that contract, and maybe the Jays get some other sweetener that they need.
  6. Same fWAR too, and Varsho is way cheaper. People just can't get over them trading Moreno for him I guess. Atkins has traded away so many prospects over the last 4 years or so, and Moreno is pretty much the only one that has even shown a flicker of maybe doing something at the MLB level and yet Atkins just gets raked for it because Varsho only had a league average bat last season lol I mean there is one guy here that keeps saying the jays should fire Varsho into the sun despite the fact that he is the Jays highest projected fWAR outfielder. SMH
  7. Frenchie is gonna splooge when he reads this
  8. I like the idea of bringing back Stroman. Gausman Berrios Bassitt Stroman Kikuchi That is one durable (albeit expensive) rotation. Then package up Manoah with Espinal and more for a decent OF power bat or 3B? Can we get anything decent for those two? Manoah and Espinal for Yelich, Adames plus cash?
  9. Why would you start Varsho at C when he is a worse catcher than Kirk or Jansen?? To get his big bad bat into the line up? Haha
  10. If they signed Stroman that's a clear indicator that Manoah is gonzo. He may already be trade bait.
  11. I wonder if these cheaper D first type signings to plug holes will have the jays pouring more cash into a bigger name bullpen arm now?
  12. The poster I quoted literally said "Fire Varsho into the sun" word for word dude.
  13. Ok? But that doesn't have a f***ing thing to do with what I was refuting, and that is the ridiculous notion to "fire Varsho into the sun" He still provides tons of value, and a solid bang for the buck even if he doesn't hit. Cutting him loose would be borderline retarded.
  14. Hmmm. FG projections: Varsho - 3.1 fWAR ($5.5m Arb) Springer - 2.8 fWAR ($25m AAV) Soler - 2.0 fWAR ($16m AAV) Kiermaier - 1.1 fWAR ($10m AAV) Oh yeah, and... Bellinger - 2.4 fWAR ($24m AAV) And we want to fire Varsho into the sun? Why?
  15. Yelich and Adames combined for 7+ fWAR last season and are projected or 5+ fWAR this season. I wouldn't complain depending on the cost to acquire, which would most likely be next nothing.

  17. The Sportset comment section is that way -------->
  18. You can bet he pretty much would be free, and the Brewers would still have to pay some of that contract mitigating most of the risk involved. Maybe you can get Adames at the same time, plugging the hole at 3B as well. I'm not huge on Yelich but it might be a better way to go than paying $200+ million for Bellinger.
  19. Might be better off trading for Yelich or something like that than overpaying for Bellinger.
  20. Hopefully the Jays have drawn a line in the sand with Boras and Bellinger. A half decently palatable number. Here is what we'll pay and here is when we need an answer by, then we have to move on to other options.
  21. Last year was the Jays peak year to win it all in this window I think. And they had plenty go right to, as a huge chunk of the depth players really pulled through and the pitching was incredible and healthy. But Vlad s*** the bed and only put up 1 fWAR Manoah really s*** the bed with his negative fWAR season where he ended up in the minors. Springer, Kirk and Varsho completely forgot how to hit. All that cost the jays like what? 8-10 fWAR? It's actually amazing they even made the wild card round to be honest. If that group of players doesn't bounce back this season it'll be another frustrating slog where they maybe sneak into the wild card again.
  22. Exactly. I said the same thing a couple pages back. The biggest improvement this team can make now is to have all the underperforming players from last season not suck ass again.
