  1. I hope this is what happens. I think Bieber will have some very good years ahead.
  2. This is baseball. 7 games is short.
  3. Going to be hard to beat a team that has 4 legit ace pitchers now that Snell, Ohtani and Glasnow are healthy and on point.
  4. Everybody talks about the randomness of baseball in small sample sizes. Well, the playoffs are a small sample size. To top it off, all the teams in the playoffs are good teams, proven over a huge sample size of a 162 game regular season. The best team doesn't always win in the playoffs, and you need to be more than just good to win, you also need some good fortune as well. The most important thing is to bulld a team that is good enough to make the playoffs multiple times in a 5 to 10 year period, and eventually you should break through and win it all because at some point luck will break your way.
  5. Agreed, but the whiners have to pin it on somebody and the Jays will once again be a crappy team that got lucky all year. Also, Shatkins and Schneider will need to be immediately catapulted into the sun. In truth though, the bones of this team will still be in tact. If they can't turn this series around, build the rotation back up in the off season, tweak the rest of the roster a little, and try to make the playoffs for the 5th time in 7 years and hope they take another step in the post season.
  6. After almost 30 pitches in the 1st Miller is through 4 with 50. Terrible job by the Jays batters. Some bad luck too i guess, but still. Let's get cracking here.
  7. If anything i feel bad for Bo. Guy was having a nice bounce back year and has been here since the start of the Shatkins era as a key piece. It has to suck for him that he can't be a part of this now that they've finally reach the ALCS. Especially since he might not be back.
  8. Obviously it isn't a must win game, but Miller vs Gausman at home, a well rested team, and what should be a worn out Mariners team, feels like a game you have to win. Especially since 3 of the next 4 will be on the road. Although, we did sweep them in Seattle earlier this season IIRC.
  9. Every other team has multiple aces? Anyways, Gausman has pitched like an Ace in the past. Bieber was an Ace who won a cy young. So far Yesavage has looked 100% like an Ace. All 3 of them are capable of putting up an Ace like performance on any given night.
  10. Party hard fellas. 4 bottles of the bubbly each
  11. Kahnle? This game is soon over haha
  12. Yes! Extra innings!
  13. Both aces pitch absolute gems. Both leave the game with the lead. Neither bullpen can hold the lead for even a single inning.
  14. Would be nice if the Ms could tie this up and then have the game go about 20 innings or so.
  15. I was hard on Vlad for sure, all I could see was a guy flopping around like a beached whale at 2nd base after being picked off as the trail runner to end the Jays season. This version of playoff Vladdy I like much better, and hopefully he is here to stay.
  16. Cubs about to force a game 5. If they can knock off the Brew crew the Jays would have home advantage for the World Series after winning the ALCS
  17. The panic was real. Wow
  18. Jays in the ALDS: Clement 324 wRC+ Vlad 324 wRC+ Varsho 302 wRC+ Schneider 188 wRC+ Straw 167 wRC+ Lukes 130 wRC+ Kirk 123 wRC+ Barger 109 wRC+ Springer 89 wRC+ Giminez 84 wRC+ Santander 7 wRC+ IKF -100 wRC+
  19. Anyone else thinking that the wishy washy Bieber performance so far may result in him triggering his player option so he can have a full season in front of this Jays D to build his value before going to market? He's probably still shaking the rust off from being out a year and a half.
  20. Yeah, Vlad can be a $500 million 3 to 4 fWAR player every year if he's going to absolutely SHOVE in the post season like this.
  21. Yes, the Jays offense is a well rounded and well oiled machine that can beat you several different ways.
  22. Feels pretty good for a guy who ate a lot of s*** on here for being a Shatkins booster who said they built a pretty good team that was inexplicably underperforming. Nice to see it all coming together with Alphatkins still sitting in the big chair.
  23. This guy was the biggest proponent of the Jays rebuilding last off season if I remember correctly.
