  1. Semien will go back to a Cali team probably. Move Biggio back to 2nd but I don't want to see Espinal as the full time 3B while at the same time hoping Biggio rebounds at 2B. If Semien does leave, hopefully they can make a key signing at 2B or 3B to help fill the void left behind. I think Ray re-signs in the off season. I think he'd be signed already but the Jays want to make sure he makes it to the end healthy.
  2. We need another offensive explosion (like the one against the A's in the 8th inning) that sparks another huge win streak. About a 9 game win streak to be more precise.
  3. Schwarber would be a great add for a 4th OF and DH option. That power LHB would be great. I wonder if you could send Grichuk back to Minny in a Donaldson trade instead of having them eat some of JDs contract. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I think Semien is a goner if he gets a decent offer from a team in Cali. Get JD at 3B and put Biggio back at 2B to see if he rebounds. I mean I'd rather land a stud like Ramirez for 3B but that acquisition cost would be brutal. JD would be so much cheaper and in 2 years you can let him walk and hope Groshans or Orelvis can take over by then.
  4. f***ing amazing how quickly this team goes from scorching hot to f***ing useless and vice versa.
  5. Relievers are so unbelievably volatile. I wanted the Jays to snag Kimbrel big time. He was damn near unhittable with the Cubs. You basically have to toss 50 pieces of crap at a wall and see which 10 or so stick to build a bullpen.
  6. 3-1 vs Twins 2-1 vs Yanks 2-1 vs O's 7-3 Still very doable. Hopefully Boston sweeps the Yankees this week too.
  7. Is there a legit good reason why they keep playing Mcguire this much? What in the actual f***?
  8. I just hope the Jays don't go into next season with the same questin marks around the bullpen and having to rely on guys with extensive injury history's to be healthy in order for it to be a strong bullpen. Romano Mayza Cimber Richards Merryweather That's a nice foundation for a bullpen but they need to bring in 3 or 4 more decent BP arms to round that out. A bad idea would be to sign a couple of Yates equivalent type relievers (guys with about a 10% chance of staying healthy) and then hope to fill the rest out with waiver pick ups or from within. If guys like Castro, Borucki, Baker, Snead, Saucedo, Thornton etc end up being good then it's a bonus, but you shouldn't be going into next season relying on those guys to carry water in order for the bullpen to be any good.
  9. Cool. No Moreno, Martinez or Groshans has made prospect watching fairly dull.
  10. Re-sign Ray & Matz Grichuk plus a prospect for JD Biggio back to 2B Sign Schwarber CF Springer 1B Guerrero 3B Donaldson SS Bichette RF Hernandez DH Schwarber C Kirk LF Gurriel 2B Biggio Bench - Espinal, Jansen, an OF with speed and ability to play CF, a LHB utility type Ray Berrios Ryu Manoah Matz Sign 3 or 4 decent bullpen arms
  11. He's obviously a biased f***ing moron. Even back on the 4th the Jays had a +120 run differential. Anybody with half a brain and no bias against the Jays would know they weren't "pretenders". They were a team with a f*** ton less wins than they should have had at that point. Still are, even after the hot streak since.
  12. I would. He's been f***ing terrible. A bonfide streak stopper, and not in a good way.
  13. Late to the party but Ryu is such a useless piece of s*** right now. Team is actually good and he turns into f***ing garbage during the stretch run. Hopefully the rest of the starting staff can keep it going. They did great getting back into this race but they can't afford to lose many more games to s*** teams like the twinkies.
  14. I don't think Semien will be impossible to replace. Maybe I'm not very good at figuring this stuff out, but a full season from Springer and Kirk could potentially be enough to replace Semien's WAR. A bounce back season from a healthy Biggio likely adds another 3+ WAR as well, never mind if the Jays actually went out and signed or traded for players like Ramirez, Story or Correa. For me, getting Ray re-signed is more important. It completely solidifies the Jays rotation 1 thru 4 (Ray, Ryu, Berrios, Manoah) and then you have guys like Stripling, Pearson and Hatch battling to take the 5th spot, and that's if the Jays don't dig up another hidden gem from out of nowhere like the seem to be able to do on a whim. That's how they got Ray, Matz and Stripling to begin with. Find and fix seems to be their forte. Hell, maybe they use their track record to lure Thor back to TO on a one year show me deal and then he comes in and is a CY contender next season.
  15. Going to be interesting to see what the Jays do this off season to address 2B and 3B Apparently they already tried to extend Semien, but I don't see him coming back. Do they go big game hunting, or do they save money for the core and pitching by filling those spots from within? 2B -> Biggio/Lopez 3B -> Espinal/Smith Maybe get Moreno playing some more at 3B and then wait for him, Groshans and Martinez to make their way to the show.
  16. Minor gripe, but why the f*** does MLB put the f***tard yankees and their pathetic +34 run differential and 6-10 record against the Jays ahead of the Jays in the standings when they have identical records? Alphabetical?
  17. So you somehow thought they expected the Rays to have one less win at the end of the season than they have right now? Just giving you a hard time.
  18. Brad Hand just keeps f***ing the Jays over even after he's gone
  19. Well I unrealistically and idiotically was hoping for a 12 game win streak leading up to the first Rays game. Figured a miracle like that would get the Jays back in the race. Disappointing. I guess we'll have to settle for 11-1 instead lol
  20. Heh, I was just thinking about how Danny Jansen doesn't seem like a useless butthole with the bat lately, so I went and looked at his game log. The guy has a f***ing .920 OPS since the start of May. 110 PA's Holy f***ing s***. That gives me a serious chubby. They should really look at moving Moreno to 3rd base.
  21. Winning both games was huge. We gained at least a half game on everybody because of it. It'd be good for my heart though if the Jays could just score early and often tomorrow and win a laugher lol
