  1. Well s***. Hopefully Hatch is good.
  2. Adams was 4 for 5 tonight with a double and a home run. OPS up to .877
  3. I wonder how much longer they leave Orelvis to tear A ball up? A trip to Van might be coming soon for him.
  4. Probably either going to extend them in the off season for what will be looked at as fair deals or get comp picks when someone else signs them. I highly doubt the Jays sell only 4.5 games out of the 2nd wild card.
  5. Top 20? I'm a big fan, but that seems a stretch to me. He currently doesn't crack the top 30 in WAR or wRC+ I'm probably being a touch to optimistic though, but I do believe Kirk/Moreno/Martin/Groshans/Martinez will all play and excel at the MLB level.
  6. I am firmly in the "don't trade any of our top position player prospects" camp I think we have several that are going to play and be as good as or better than Bo, and there is room for all of them on the roster too. I am fine trading starting pitching prospects + for starting pitchers who are high end and have control, but their teams have no use for them right now because they are on the way down or just starting to rebuild. Jays are ready to compete now. They could use a Castillo, Berrios or Marquez right now and for the next few years much more than Cincinnati, Minnesota or Colorado could.
  7. One thing I worry about long term (and maybe this is a stupid thing to worry about?) is short stop. Seems like all our very good SS prospects don't project to be able to stay there long term. It's always "while he's currently playing SS, because of reasons we suspect he'll have to move to 3rd, or OF or 2B, etc" Is Bo a legit SS long term? I assumed one of Martin, Groshans, Martinez would push him to 2nd or maybe 3rd long term, but not according to the scouting reports. Also, Kevin Smith. Under the radar guy no? Former top 100 prospect at 22 years old. Then an off year, then a COVID year, now he's 25 and tearing AAA up pretty good. He's probably the best defensive SS we have in the system right now too that actually has a bat to go along with the glove.
  8. .375 against the Red Sox and Rays, .573 against everyone else. They're just not ready to take on the big boys yet.
  9. Kirk was DHing today and was pinch hit for in his last at bat. I assume that has to do with Jansen leaving this game and we will see Kirk up with the Jays tomorrow.
  10. And now Martinez has hit a home run. 16th of the season. OPS nearing 1.000
  11. Alejandro Kirk just hit a 2 out, 2 run double. He's 2 for 2 and his OPS is back up over .900 now. Need to clear him a spot pronto
  12. BOOM! Kirk just hit a 3 run dinger. He's 4 for 5 tonight. Smith was on base with a lead off single. He's 2 for 4 with a walk and a home run himself.
  13. Holy s*** does New Hampshire's pitching staff suck balls. Groshans is 3 for 3 tonight though. Martin is o for 1 with 2 walks Taylor is also playing, o for 2 with a walk Good to see them all in the line up.
  14. I'd like to see Hatch one day too, but not against the Red Sox. Toss him out there against the Orioles to get his feet wet. Missing this game is a blessing.
  15. He's through 7 innings now, 7 K's but he gave up a home run that inning. 92 pitches Kirk is 3 for 4 in the game.
  16. Exactly. Go get Kimbrel and if those other guys stay healthy then it's a bonus
  17. Well, not exactly a proven MLB track record as a reliever but if it works that would be a huge addition to the bullpen. Now go get Kimbrel FFS. Kimbrel Romano Merryweather (if he's not dead) Pearson Cimber Richards Borucki Mayza Saucedo Looks like a pretty strong bullpen on paper.
  18. Yes in 2019 he tried to make a swing change and it didn't work at all. He had a hige 2018 with a 190 wRC+ in A ball and then after being promoted to high A put up 127 wRC+ Went to AA in 2019 with an altered swing and his K rates ballooned and his wRC+ dropped to 94.
  19. Man, Kevin Smith at 25 years old with his first crack at AAA and a 149 wRC+ is no joke is he? 12.5% BB rate, 24.3% K rate, and a .298 ISO are all good signs too. Not a flash in the pan either really, it's been more good than bad all the way up the ladder too. Speed, power, glove. I hope we get a look at him soon.
  20. More and more I find myself not wanting the Jays to trade any of Kirk, Moreno, Martin, Groshans or Martinez. Let them work their way up and onto the MLB roster over the next 1-2 seasons. There is room for all of them if they make it IMO. Also not wanting to see them give up any significant assets for short term rentals. One guy I want to see them get is definitely Kimbrel as he is a beast, would be here for next season too and his contract could make him cheaper to acquire possibly. I don't know how badly the Jays want to spend $16 million on a reliever though. They certainly haven't spent big on the bullpen yet during their tenure.
  21. Rays lost to the Orioles. Hopefully the A's lose to the Angels too, then the damage is at least kept to a minimum.
  22. It's also the 2021 Red Sox. He'll probably come back and pitch a no hitter in game 1 for f*** sakes. These lucky clowns practically s*** gold nuggets.
  23. "Jays have set up their rotation so that Stripling, Manoah and Ray get the Red Sox series" Stripling proceeds to get his s*** pushed in and Manoah falls down some stairs. lol Keep your head on a swivel Robbie!
