  1. Pretty frustrating. They only had 30 total plate appearances. It's hard to find any bright spots, but I guess a couple would be: Morales with his second multi-hit game in a row after having been in a bit of a funk, and Howell pitched a clean inning.
  2. No. He had pitched 3 days in a row Tues-Thurs. so they had to give him the day off. f***ing Yankees luck out again! BTW: I don't see a GDT for Friday game that is about to start in like 15 min
  3. Bullpen is already shaky with him, so it fills one hole while creating another. But if Biagini can be an effective starter, then converting him now obviously improves the team's outlook for 2018 and beyond.
  4. They are tied with Jays (both 28 games played) for 26th in runs scored. They could use a boost of offense from 3B.
  5. Yeah he seems inconsistent from day to day whether he can locate his pitches. Barnes in limited action this season is generating a lot of ground balls, which is always nice. To me the bigger question is whether it should be Tepera or Grilli (based strictly on ability right today).
  6. It will be interesting to see what happens with Latos after 1 good outing and 2 garbage ones. I guess it depends where they stand with Sanchez and Stroman. Then again, he seems like an obvious choice to be moved off the active roster (DFA'd) to make room for the recent waiver claim, Ramirez.
  7. T.J. House seems like a good option to try. In 27 MLB games (22 starts) he has 117.2 ip with a 4.44 ERA and 3.44 xFIP. So far at AAA this season, he has a 1.64 ERA over 22.0 ip in 4 starts.
  8. Yes, but I don't see the Jays management getting punked by any of their players like Syndergaard did to the Mets with the refusal of the MRI.
  9. He's usually a slow starter. Morales is sure not looking too good either so far......
  10. gotta give the Yankees BP credit for holding the Jays in check. That was the difference along with their ******** lucky hits.
  11. When you go up 4 in the top of the 1st with one of your good pitchers on the mound and you lose the game, that is just another in a long list of fiascos this season. So f***ing infuriating!
  12. Might be wishful thinking, but maybe if everything goes to s*** this season, things will turn and go our way in the next season. Worst to First in 2018 !
  13. OK whatever if it make you feel better
  14. No he got a 3-0 FB and couldn't connect with it. The 3-2 pitch he may have got caught in between after the changeup the previous pitch.
  15. They are always the worst at Yankee Stadium it seems
  16. Just when you think JB is getting back on track he has an AB where he got totally destroyed on two fastballs he would have crushed back in the day. ETA: I am watching this on ESPN - they said they think he has a lingering back issue that flared up back during the WBC.
  17. I don't think you can give such a harsh suspension for something that can NOT be PROVEN to be intentional. So what do you do when an apparent accidental beaning occurs and leads to serious injury as with the Fiers/Stanton incident? Not suspend him because you perceive no ill intent but suspend the guy where ill intent is perceived/suspected, but no actual injury even occurred?
  18. Yeah the demoralization of losing their working class hero to injury would surely derail the O's season;)
  19. Hopefully Morales continues his success versus Sabathia in this game. Also RH hitting version of Smoak hopefully continues to produce.
  20. In the context of Machado having been buzzed behind the head by Barnes just a week ago, I think you target someone else this time. Davis probably laughs it off and the issue dissipates. Now with Machado's tirade, the feud continues at full steam. Also how does throwing at the 2016 MLB HR leader not send a message?
  21. Yeah I think if Sale wanted to retaliate for the O's hitting Betts, he should have thrown at someone else. Because of the recent history, Machado should have been left out of it this time (it's not like he is their only good hitter). Either way, this tit for tat could continue until someone gets seriously injured, so they need to just cut the crap now.
  22. I posted earlier in the thread I think he got the nod because he had good results against Tanaka in the past, and boy did he ever take that to new levels tonight! And now a 4th hit and 3rd XBH after none all season.
  23. Loup looking pretty good - ERA down to 0.93 on the season now
  24. Looks like Pearce was 6 for 14 versus Tanaka entering this game so seems a good time to give him a start versus a righty. Good move by Gibbons.
  25. Postseason pitching results: Kershaw: 89.0 ip, 1.157 WHIP, 4.55 ERA Price: 66.2 ip, 1.230 WHIP, 5.54 ERA Estrada: 47.2 ip, 0.839 WHIP, 2.64 ERA In that context, along with solid regular season results from 2015 to date, Estrada probably looks pretty good to a contender looking for another starter at the trade deadline.
