  1. When did I say the sky is falling lol? I’m not a fan of the move but I’m not panicking. They still have a lot of work to do. Can anyone honestly say at this point in the off-season that the team has gotten better?
  2. We can only hope.
  3. It’s irrelevant now for sure.
  4. That speaks more to how bad the OF situation is more than him lol. I also don’t think that number is accurate.
  5. Mayza was brought in to face a switch-hitter but still a bad move. The move there was to stick with Gausman or bring in a swing and miss reliever. Bass pitched extremely well for the Marlins last year. Probably well above his head. I don’t even think he was healthy down the strech. But his lack of missing bats and being extremely homerun prone doesn’t make him ideal for late game situations. Romano was brought into an almost impossible situation because the bullpen couldn’t get outs ahead of him. He gave up 3 runs due to Bichette nearly killing Springer on a pop up. Not overly worried about him. But I wouldn’t say he’s exactly lockdown or anything. He’s mostly very good.
  6. That’s not now though. He’s 33 and has likely lost a step. He doesn’t get on base or hit for any kind of power. Not exactly someone you want in the lineup everyday. He at the very least should never start against a left-hander. I still don’t like having a non contributing hitter in the lineup everyday.
  7. Well those particular facts quickly become irrelevant when they don’t get the outs when they actually matter. I wasn’t suggesting it was a straight up swap of those 2. But if that trade was even in a framework form and the Jays were unwilling to add or make it apart of a larger trade I’m disappointed.
  8. He better be because he’s not an Everyday player.
  9. I don’t care where our bullpen ranked in the league. We need guys who can come in and get no contact in tight situations. Its the difference between stranding runners with no advancement and having them come in on a ground ball up the middle or a sacrifice fly. Jays have tons of middle relievers. Very little weapons.
  10. This really doesn’t move the needle at all. But if he’s the 4th OF I’m fine with it. He’s hot though might get some girls to buy his jersey.
  11. Jays need a minimum of 2 more relievers this off-season. This pen still sucks. Pop is absolutely nothing. If its true the Cardinals were really offer Ryan Helsley for Jansen and the Jays passed I'm major league pissed.
  12. f*** Senga
  13. I love Rodon. But 7 years to a pitcher especially him who has had some injury concerns. I just don’t think we can get in on that market.
  14. Senga doesn’t want to play in Canada. He refused a visit.
  15. Yes lets trade the dynamic athlete with an ego. And sign the fat First Basemen for life. That’s how to build a franchise.
  16. The word love scares me. He should only be loved at the right price.
  17. Yea I believe that was one of the ideas pitched. It was a few years ago so I don’t have the quote in front of me. But I remember Bo saying distinctly it the Jays decided to bring in a big named Shortstop that would improve the team he would have no issue moving. Carlos Correa fits that bill for sure.
  18. One year contract. I believe it was discussed.
  19. Will be interesting to see when Bo goes to the market because many teams might not see him as a Shortstop and that will definitely impact his value. Bo will make more than Vladdy because he plays a premium position. Atleast for now.
  20. Correa would definitely be the play on the open market. Move Bo off short. Bring in Correa to play gold glove Defense at Short and the upside to hit 30-35 Homeruns. For the next several years. Bo said in the past he would be willing to move off SS if the right kind of player was brought in. I don’t know if CF is the play for him. Second Base makes more sense. And use the Catcher surplus to address the OF. It would be great if Bo could play CF just hard to imagine that. He loves running into the Outfield so maybe he would be down.
  21. Say what you want about Chaim. And hes been mostly s***. He stuck to his principles and what he vauled Bogaerts at. It’s not really his fault the Padres decided to pay out the ass for him. Yea it sucks for them today but in the long run that’s not a contract you want to hand out.
  22. It’s weird because on the one hand I love that Nimmo gets on base and hits lefty. But his injury history albeit flukey stuff is concerning. Hes played like 2 full seasons in 7 years. He also might be better suited for a corner and the Jays are gonna have to pay out the ass for him. Like it’s looking like they might have to give him more than they gave Springer and I don’t think that’s a strong play.
  23. I wish the Blue Jays could do that but they just don’t produce enough secondary talent. Yea every few years they got some big prospects that enter the mix. But Jays just don’t produce that kind of quality. Teams like the Dodgers and Astros just pump out quality talent or they go find it with stealthy under the radar trades. Even a lot of prospects the Jays have traded in the last few years have been mostly s***.
  24. So I assume Tatis is moving to the OF full time?
