    Gurriel can play 1B and both Springer and Vlad will DH plenty. Kiermaier probably doesn’t need more than 3 starts a week and won’t play against Lefties. If you have the option of adding a Conforto you make that move. There’s at-bats to go around. And injuries usually take care of most of those issues. Our 4th Outfielder is currently Merrifield and Biggio? And Merrifield might actually be the Starting Second Baseman. Lukes the only other Outfielder on the 40-man.

    More than fine with that deal. Would still be nice to add another bat to the Outfield.

    Giants are quietly having a very nice off-season. Very good signing. Would have loved to have had him back

    I care because I would like us to have money to spend later. It’s just wild to me where we are. When I think of a 20 million dollar a year Starter I think of a top of a rotation Starter. Going to have to reprogram my brain.

    The Starter was very much needed. Would be nice it they could bring back Stripling as well. I don’t want Kikuchi or Mitch White anywhere near this rotation outside of spot starts at the most.

    Are middle of the rotation starters really worth $20 million a year. God damn. Decent signing all things considered. This division is a different animal though.

    Oh was the 2 year 24 million a troll lol. Well he definitely got me. But in fairness a weird thing to troll about. It didn’t seem that far fetched but also kinda gross. What put it over the top is the Dodgers making a late push. In that scenario the second year made sense.

    The jury is out on whether not Kiermaier will even be at the same level of CF as he has been through his age 33 and 34 seasons. He’s coming off a pretty substantial injury plus aging.

    When did I say the sky is falling lol? I’m not a fan of the move but I’m not panicking. They still have a lot of work to do. Can anyone honestly say at this point in the off-season that the team has gotten better?

    That speaks more to how bad the OF situation is more than him lol. I also don’t think that number is accurate.

    Mayza was brought in to face a switch-hitter but still a bad move. The move there was to stick with Gausman or bring in a swing and miss reliever. Bass pitched extremely well for the Marlins last year. Probably well above his head. I don’t even think he was healthy down the strech. But his lack of missing bats and being extremely homerun prone doesn’t make him ideal for late game situations. Romano was brought into an almost impossible situation because the bullpen couldn’t get outs ahead of him. He gave up 3 runs due to Bichette nearly killing Springer on a pop up. Not overly worried about him. But I wouldn’t say he’s exactly lockdown or anything. He’s mostly very good.

    That’s not now though. He’s 33 and has likely lost a step. He doesn’t get on base or hit for any kind of power. Not exactly someone you want in the lineup everyday. He at the very least should never start against a left-hander. I still don’t like having a non contributing hitter in the lineup everyday.
