  1. Is this Baseball’s version of @KevinRashidi ? Lol He has me blocked but I see he took advantage of Twitter Blue lol.
  2. I can’t imagine any scenario someone gives a First Baseman that kind of contract. It would be completely unprecedented. I would expect him to get something way more in line with a Matt Olson that goes slightly North of $200m at the most. Unless he goes back to what he was with the bat in 21. He barely even resembled that player in 22.
  3. The problem with Conforto is he can’t play CF. Well atleast he shouldn’t. And we need someone who can play CF. That should be the target. He’s not the worst case scenario with the bat being left-handed with some power and on base. But he’s not a very good Outfielder. And we already have LF only player on the roster with Gurriel.
  4. Maybe he’s a pornhub prospect as well incase the Baseball career doesn’t work out. Ultra Stiff plays well on camera.
  5. I think he might get more than people expect because of demand. Wouldn’t shock me to see him sign a one year deal close to what his arb number was.
  6. Vinny was beating off teams with a stick
  7. He misses bats at a good clip thats the important thing. Jays still need more velo in the pen though. A lot of guys throwing the same speed.
  8. They are firmly in the market of multiple of top free agents including Aaron Judge.
  9. Vinny Capra or whatever his name is was just non tendered as well so hes also off the 40-man. He wasn’t even arbitration eligible they just didn’t even renew him.
  10. Hopefully the latter. Really not that comfortable overpaying Nimmo. I would also rather they focus on someone who can be projected to play CF for many seasons. Nimmo is someone who has missed a ton of games in his career and is probably better suited in a corner already. If Nimmo can stay healthy hes not a bad fit. High on base lefty bat is something we need but not at a premium price. His career has been so bizarre so far because when he’s played hes been very good. But hes only played 2 full season in his career. 2018 and 2022.
  11. Everything about Bellinger’s situation is unprecedented. To be such a dominant player and win MVP so young. Only to struggle immensely and get DFA’d before he entered his “Prime” which is for most players is Age 27-32. He’s still only 26 it’s really wild. His talent is still very tantalizing because how good of a Fielder and Base Runner he is. He will stick around the league for awhile for those aspects alone. But obviously he’s going to have to show some turn around with the bat this to keep making money.
  12. I would probably be comfortable with something in the $8-12M range if it cost a little more I would be fine with it. I don’t see us getting a team option with Boras as his agent. I definitely expect the Yankees to pursue him especially if they lose Judge. He might be the easiest pivot for them for one year.
  13. Honestly I would be super down for this. I will take the shot at him recreatie himself here. He can play all OF positions and 1B while Springer and Vlad cycle through DH. Left-handed bat with big power upside. Even in his s*** form he might hit 25-30 Homeruns with half his games at Rogers Centre.
  14. Guess they are grabbing Gio for depth because Rondon barely plays Baseball anymore. I really don’t want to see the Angels sign anyone significant anymore. They seem to turn into absolute pumpkins when they do.
  15. Yea that's smart. And its really looking like its coming down to the Cardinals and Diamondbacks who make the most amount of sense in terms of fit.
  16. I enjoy this line of thinking.
  17. I have no problem with this. If you have a chance to make life changing money you take it. You don’t get rewarded enough for being a good person in life. He would have what shook Judge’s hand. Get a picture of him and go back to his mediocre life and never be heard from again. When you have a chance to change your life you take it. Money is the majority of peoples stress.
  18. Yea but who gives a f*** about what makes sense for the Pirates. They have been doing dumb s*** forever.
  19. You know what. We need to start having this conversation. It’s becoming a lot more common that failed position players transition to Pitching because they can’t hit. For the ones that are still good Defensively why can’t they still play Defense when they aren’t pitching. Someone like Anthony Gose should stiill be absolutely be playing the Outfield as a Defensive sub. Why can’t this be a thing. Most pitchers shag fly balls and some of them even take infield. They are limiting versatility!
  20. Because I don’t think Moreno can play CF or hit for the power Reynolds can. Plus he’s a switch hitter.
  21. I’m not disagreeing but its why Kirk doesn’t make sense. Moreno could be easily moved position wise would be very intriguing for them. Hell the Blue Jays basically showcased his versatility at the end of the season.
  22. Stop wasting roster spots on Catchers period. Just promote Hagen Danner. He can catch when he’s not pitching. When he’s pitching just have one of the extra players do it. Problem solved.
  23. Moreno ++. Unfortunately the Pirates took a Catcher first overall so trading for a Catcher/DH like Kirk for them would probably be stupid. Reynolds still under control until 2026. It would take a s*** ton to pull him away.
  24. No you’re both just speaking in logic. Nobody likes this trade in a vacuum lol. Anyone who tells you otherwise is f***ing lying lol. It’s what this trade will ultimately lead to is what intrigues people. A huge domino can fall now because of this scenario playing out. The flexibility has been created now we sit back and watch it unfold.
  25. If there isn’t a substantial piece added to the Outfield there’s going to be tons of questions. We’re very much all in wait and see mode. I feel we had Outfield concerns before this trade. We certainly have a major hole now. Could we live with another year of Lourdes in LF probably but he really wasn’t very good this season and I don’t think Springer should be playing CF full time anymore.
