  1. All that yakety yak and still haven't told me one good reason why we shouldn't at least take a look at him if he pitches well in his rehab starts. The bottom line is our rotation is not that good, it's actually quite mediocre, so if there's someone who has a chance to be better than mediocre you take a look at him. There's nothing to lose here, nothing at all. I don't act as if he's going to be that guy I've made it clear I don't expect it to happen, I wouldn't bet money that he's going to come back as a frontline guy, I just don't get the objection to taking a look and seeing.
  2. Finally somebody that agrees with me, I've been saying pray for Manoah for a couple of months 😄
  3. Might be better than present day Gausman too. I mean it might be close between the two but remember Manoah is in his physical prime, TJ surgery or not, Gausman isn't.
  4. I know, he's looked great. I'm not arguing anything against Bieber, I've never seen a fan base so determined to not want to improve its rotation with one of its best arms almost ready to go. Manoah is Jekyll and Hyde, we don't know which version is coming back but if it's Jekyll you mean to tell me the Manoah of a couple years ago wouldn't be in your playoff rotation over these other donkeys?
  5. Bieber and Manoah are basically on a similar timeline. Bieber a little bit ahead, but both are being built back up. If it's too late for him it should be too late for Bieber. It wasn't too late for Stroman in 2015. Six starters doesn't mean six studs. Quite frankly not a single one of the five guys we have in our rotation right now is a sure bet. Scherzer is still a wait and see and he's 41 years old and his health can go at any moment. Gausman, Bassitt and Berrios are all up and down and have been for a couple of years. Laurer has been a great story but, let's be honest here, we don't know how real it all is yet. I don't see Zito, Mulder and Hudson here. You do not pass on the opportunity to see one of your best stuff arms this year if you're trying to win a World Series.
  6. That depends on how he's pitching. I don't know why everyone just automatically assumes he's not pitching this year, unless he struggles in the minors he is going to pitch in the major leagues.
  7. Bieber, Manoah, Scherzer, Laurer That's my dream.
  8. Damn, Perez taking charge there Hope Cruz is okay. I don't root for injuries, unless it's Kevin Durant in the NBA finals against us.
  9. Sounds like Heiney is going to have to go on the seven day IL. Can't afford to wait and see when you only have two catchers on the major league roster at any given time.
  10. Max pitching decently well. He's had a few sliders back up on him that he's gotten away with.
  11. Vlad does a lot of things well, except the one thing we most need him to do.
  12. Kirk is back tomorrow so they could just keep Sanchez up.
  13. Good inning. Haven't had a lot of leads lately.
  14. Purely defensively? I might give the slight edge to Varsho. I don't know what the advanced metrics say. I'm quite content to have either one of them out there defensively.
  15. Does he have those numbers against this specific pitcher cuz if not it doesn't really matter much.
  16. Well s***, at least we weren't the Yankees tonight.
  17. France is truly a square peg in a round hole on this team.
  18. This has been an unfortunate development. After a great start, he hasn't looked like the same guy lately. It looked like he would be a nice leverage arm for us.
  19. So Green passed the baton to Fluharty I guess.
