  1. I fully expect the Yankees to take out their frustrations of last night on poor Zebby.
  2. Yeah it really is getting messy with this Bo situation. If Bo can hit he's in the lineup. It's unlikely he can play shortstop and I don't think they would move him anywhere else at this point so he's probably the DH. I really don't know if Santander will be in the starting lineup at this point. I think you definitely have to roster him because of his power potential and the fact that he's a switch hitter. Given his lack of playing time and the extraordinary hit to your defense, it's tough to play him and Springer full-time out there. Roster flexibility will be their strength and it will help them navigate this. Schneider will have to make a lot of in game decisions in real time.
  3. Pepiot is on a heater at the moment, but they are watching his innings so I expect 5 at the most even if he's going well. It would be nice not to get off to a slow start, it's been a bit of an issue lately.
  4. I expect players to play through pain, not necessarily injury, but pain. So if it's just a rolled ankle, if it's just pain management, yeah he's got to get out there because his team is on the brink.
  5. Yeah he rolled his ankle. Those often end up looking a lot worse than they end up being so it might not be the end of the world. Best case scenario he misses a game or two and sticks to DH'ing but with Yordan, it might not end up a best case.
  6. Yesavage....and whatever you want after that.
  7. Ryan Borucki was sacrificed to the sun gods for this.
  8. You never trade dominant starter for dominant closer.
  9. He dominates lefties but let's bring in our stupid no control lefty because....REASONS!
  10. Forget postseason roster put him in the postseason rotation!
  11. He's getting settled in now. Can we not wait like three or four innings before we decide to do something against a junk pitcher? That would be nice..
  12. Okay, he might actually be really hurt.
  13. Well they weren't in the Trop last time we faced them and they swept us. These demons are historic: Ritualistic sacrifice may be required to overcome this.
  14. They are also limiting Pepiot's innings, so unless he's ridiculously efficient he probably doesn't go more than five.
  15. In other words...our magic number is nine 🙂
  16. That never seems to matter to Tampa. They routinely kick our ass no matter how each team is doing. But everything else has been a magic carpet ride since May so maybe the magic carpet goes through Tampa.
  17. Ultimately almost the perfect weekend, would have preferred Boston to take two of three but it'll do. Let's see if we can finally have any sort of success against Tampa Bay.
  18. Yankees and that quick strike ability. That's what makes them so f***ing dangerous.
  19. The only thing that can go wrong now is they run up the pitch count on Crochet and attack Boston's pen. Even Chapman looked off against the Yankees yesterday, I'd otherwise think it's a blip but Chapman's a weird guy.
