2021 Blue Jays: Vlad and Semien in beast mode. Bo, Hernandez and when healthly, Springer. That was nuts. Best lineup we ever had. f*** that season depresses me. Only one season's worth unfortunately.

All I really need from the guys calling the game is to set the mood, capture the moments, tell the occasional story and provide interesting tidbits of behind the scenes information about players and whatnot that I otherwise might not know. Everything else I can find on my own and am probably already aware of. I think we're lucky to have a duo like Dan and Buck, and who knows how much longer we'll have them. They are very much Toronto Blue Jays baseball. -

Yeah but he doesn't know advanced statistics and doesn't love all the modern-day strategies and he hates catchers that catch on their knees and it really upsets the tofu and unsweetened soy beverage people of the world. -
I don't know, I felt among many of us in the city we kind of knew he had a bit of a rep behind the scenes, we didn't really care we just wanted him to be the best second baseman in baseball. But I wouldn't say he was ever loved in the way that guys like Joe Carter and Doc and others were loved as people.

Barger and Schneider have benefited as well. I want Santander back as an option for this team but by the same token I am concerned if we tried to force him back into the everyday lineup we might be losing some of what made us so good. Let's face it, unless he's hitting a ton of home runs he's a negative player in just about every way.

If Varsho, Santander and Gimenez are regulars come the postseason, it definitely changes the profile of the lineup vs what it's been.
