  1. Everyone is missing the bigger picture here: home field advantage was not a factor.
  2. This is insanity. Seriously, bring in Loup or have Navarro pitch a few just for the yucks. This is a criminal misuse of assets.
  3. Jeff Blair: "I have no problem with Gibbons; he has had a stellar playoffs to go with a MOY calibre regular season."
  4. Mike Wilner: "I can completely understand Gibbons' bullpen choices here and commend him for his baseball IQ and his courage."
  5. Come back Delabar and Hutchison; all is forgiven....
  6. If Gibbons puts out Lowe, Sanchez or Osuna now, someone better take him down with a sniper rifle.
  7. Bringing on Hawkins and Tepara in a must-win game is unforgivable. This is the playoffs for f***s sake, it's all hands on deck. Someone needs to tell Gibby you can't rest relievers the way you usually do in the regular season; we are not Kansas City, our bullpen without Cecil is average at best.
  8. Give us Houston. I want to completely f*** up the state of Texas.
  9. I'm exhausted, incredulous, thrilled and exhilirated. I didn't think the Jays could win 3 straight. I've never been so happy to be wrong. Kudos to the team and to the true believers on this board. Amazing. Oh and rule 6089974125148794361649849416.2.3565.65656.1 can go f*** itself.
  10. The simple answer is that in the short term yes, it's been an incredible ride that many of us have waited 22 long years for. In the long run however there are massive questions to be answered. We have no farm system, huge holes in pitching and big salaries to pay just to keep the core together. My only hope is that Rogers realizes what an incredible sports property and potential fanbase they have here and not squander the opportunity by being cheap in the offseason. The Blue Jays have a hugely better chance of winning it all than the Leafs and Raptors do in the next decade or so.
  11. Good comeback. Enjoy thanksgiving with your other relatives. http://ichef-1.bbci.co.uk/news/624/media/images/49239000/jpg/_49239141_e438206-neanderthal_man-spl.jpg
  12. We're done. Too many managerial mistakes, too many underperforming players and too many poor umpiring decisions coupled with some rotten luck and a few curses thrown in for good measure. I expect this team to go quietly into the night in game 3. Seeing Boyd, Hoffman, Norris etc. perform for other teams is going to hurt like hell next year. It already hurts to see Syndergaard begin his stellar career.
  13. I can't drink enough to stop the drum beat in my head that's going "we didn't need to play Texas...we didn't need to play Texas." God help me, I need some hard liquor tonight. Beer just isn't going to cut it.
  14. Now we get to watch Boyd, Hoffman, Norris etc. all pitch for different clubs next year. For this. Need beer now.
  15. The whole thing is a damn choker. Gutted right now, just gutted. Better get some pitching in for next season because you won't see Price for dust.
  16. Without Beltre for most of the series they have beaten us 2 games in our own barn. They are not inferior.
  17. This is the only explanation that makes any sense to me at this point. Kansas City certainly thought it was worthwhile avoiding Texas and getting homefield advantage, especially given the flak Yost took after resting his regulars for only one game against Cleveland.
  18. My favourite moment from Only Generals Die in Bed occurred when the few surviving soldiers of the regiment huddled around a small campfire in the rain, picking lice off their bodies and eating vermin infested food and one of the soldiers looked around the muddy trenches and said "We volunteered for this...."
  19. Not worried. Gibbons can always rest the regulars for the 12:45pm start. Wait....
  20. Interesting article: http://www.dallasnews.com/sports/texas-rangers/headlines/20151004-fraley-blue-jays-odd-ending-to-season-suggests-team-wanted-to-face-rangers-in-playoffs.ece Last pitcher to start in the postseason on 11 days rest: Red Ruffing, with the New York Yankees in the 1939 World Series.
  21. Right, because it would be all the fault of those who have asked questions of the management. Clearly. Plus I'm pretty sure we all want to win, we're just not clear on how decisions have been made in the last few days including today's edifying spectacle.
  22. Funny. I don't feel like a robot. http://i.imgur.com/VllAa1H.png
  23. Well I sure as f*** hope the management knew what they were doing, because we just got what nobody else in the AL wanted: a rested, keyed up and aces firing Texas. If/when this blows up in our face, I hope someone will answer for the ridiculous decisions of the last 5 days.
