  1. To this date I have never truly hated any team in baseball. Until now. f*** the Orioles. f*** them right up the ass.
  2. That'll do. I don't care if this one ends 15-14 for us, get it done!!
  3. And yet they beat DeSclafani and the Reds yesterday with an up-and-coming pitcher called Nicolino. If only we had more pitching like that.....wait......
  4. This. The entire universe could see Copeland was done after allowing 6 hits in the inning before the home run.
  5. Agreed, but the way we lost that extra inning game was sickening.....
  6. Seriously we are witnessing history here. As of today the Jays offense ranks: >1st in runs scored with 338. The next highest is the Damn Yankees and they have 60 fewer at 278. >1st in RBI's (no surprise there of course at 322 with the DY next at 266). >Ist in OPS at .782 and slugging % at .448. Bear in mind that only three teams in the majors have an OPS over .750 and by #10 you're at .720. >1st in doubles, extra base hits and total bases. And now some of my favourites: >Dead last in intentional walks in the majors with 1! After all, who are you going to walk to get to the next hitter? Possibly Goins? >5th in number of walks and only 18th in strike outs - great selective batting. >We are on pace to score 883 runs for the season, the most by a major league team since the bloody Yankees again got 915 in 2009.
  7. Nick Sinay: http://www.d1baseball.com/columns/by-any-means-necessary-buffalos-nick-sinay/ Hmmmmmmm............
  8. Anthopoulos' record speaks for itself: 2010 - $78,689,357 payroll, 85-77 record, average age 28.7 years, finished 4th 2011 - $70,567,800 payroll, 81-81, average age 28 years, finished 4th 2012 - $83,739,200 payroll, 73-89, average age 27.8 years, finished 4th 2013 - $119,277,800 payroll, 74-88, average age 30 years, finished 5th 2014 - $137,177,700 payroll, 83-79, average age 29.6 years, finished 3rd 2015 - $125,915,800 payroll, 30-30, average age 29 years, 3rd But worse than Dave Stewart and Ruben Amaro?? Someone is trolling......
  9. Everybody's favourite Hechavarria hit the game winning home run in the top of the 10th inning over the Rockies as LTR noted. Graveman pitched 7 strong for Oakland over the Red Sox but the pen blew it late.
  10. I don't know, it's just that we have such an inferiority complex here vs. the States and Toronto is always talked up as such a big league city; given that I'm just genuinely surprised at how poor the turnstiles have been. This graph doesn't make it seem any better: http://www.hardballtimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/ResPerTeam.png
  11. Just saw this graph and was actually pretty shocked at how low the Blue Jays ranked in attendace over the last 15 years or so. With Kansas City coming good, we might slip even lower after this year. Makes our budget look positively generous from Rogers. http://www.hardballtimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/AttendG.png
  12. Script for the rest of the season in a 3-4 game series: Lose 2-1, Lose 3-2, Win 15-2, Lose 3-2 (if required).
  13. Nat's revised game plan; "Screw it, we've got enough runs already - swing at everything."
  14. Lol at Zimmerman's face. http://www.propertymanagementinsider.com/wp-content/uploads/easy-button-featured1.jpg
  15. Even the pitchtrax guy has given up already.
  16. Not worried. It's just Zimmerman, runs come easy.
  17. Cheers, tried, not working for me; bloody corporate firewall!!
  18. Silly question; anyone got a live stream? Can't find one and I'm at work at the moment.
  19. SSS for Gomes surely though? He's only played in 10 games this season. Not that I don't like him; I wish we'd had a catcher like that so we didn't have to sign Dough Boy or blow our brains out paying for an excellent one. Oh wait......... Well, at least we got Esmil Rogers......wait....
  20. Who knows when Travis is coming back though? His injury rehab seems to be regressing with every passing week....... http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/blue-jays-devon-travis-shut-down-for-a-week/
  21. Incredible: Wilner actually made some sense, although of course he's careful not to apportion blame as to why we're in the bloody mess with this squad. I'll go check outside to see if the world has ended.
  22. Reyes is being paid absurd money for what he brings to the table, but take a look at our outfield/bullpen and tell me he's the biggest problem on our team. Colabello alone today cost us 2 runs and made two basic errors in left field.
  23. In a game that virtually no-one is watching, 4 home runs already in the Milwaukee/Arizona game including one for the much lamented Adam Lind.
  24. Switching from actively watching to monitoring on gameday only mode.....
