  1. Knowing that we were playing Buehrle and Hutchinson and had by default therefore already given up on homefield advantage, why the f*** did we elect to play the regulars again? Baffling.
  2. Hutchinson's on the mound tomorrow? f*** me, that's it. No-one who will be on the 25 man playoff squad should be out there tomorrow. No-one. If we lose to Texas in the first round, fire Gibbons. It won't save the season, but it'd make me feel 5% better.
  3. Well, not to worry. We can rest the regulars now. Wait.....
  4. Possibly, but you're not thinking of alternative revenue streams: i) Tequila and illegal susbstance vendors ii) Kidnapping of visiting tourists/players for ransom iii) A tunnel from under the stadium to the American border iv) Discounts for outsourced workers from Canada and America to come and watch the games v) Bribe booths for the local police to look the other way while getting blow jobs in the stands from underage hookers vi) Pay toilets when getting the runs after eating dodgy stadium food vii) Half-time shows to see who gets AIDS the fastest while getting tattoos from infected needles Really, the possibilities are endless....
  5. In an amazing season, Pillar has been one of my favourite stories I think. Written off as a career AAAA player for much of his time here, pushed behind Saunders and Pompey at the start of spring training; it's hard not to like the guy.
  6. So......we did or did not get f***ed again by the replay system? Edit: Guess it doesn't matter much now!
  7. Seriously if you're Baltimore why wouldn't you try out some of your prospects/minor leaguers? Crazy. You could throw a beer league team out there and be competitive against our lineup today.
  8. Not worried. If Hutchinson pitches remotely well Gibbons will yank him by the 6th inning anyway. Talk about mailing it in. If Baltimore loses this they should simply cease to exist as a professional baseball franchise.
  9. Lol! Damn, the mods are on tonight.
  10. Wait, there's another game? s***. Roll out the AAAA lineup.
  11. I've waited 22 years for this and it feels so much sweeter! I only wish my Father was here to see this, but I'm sure he's watching from somewhere and smiling.
  12. Incredible to think that a few weeks ago we were barely treading water at .500; now we lead the American League. I've waited 22 years for this and I'm lovin' every minute of it. http://i.imgur.com/1R3mPPe.jpg
  13. I don't think the Indians will be able to leapfrog Minnesota and the Angels to be honest (Twins winning going into the 9th at Detroit right now); there's just too few games left to do it. For some reason Cleveland always seem to play KC tough (it will probably be 9-9 after tonight) - we are 4-3 against the Indians and the Royals this year.
  14. This would be the best case scenario, some regular season work before the playoffs. If Tulo comes back I truly believe we have a legitimate shot at going all the way. Stroman's return was a game-changer for sure, but without Tulo I would not be confident in winning more than a round. His defence and hitting (I agree with most on here that his hitting is bound to come around) are elite and make us significantly better as a team, with all due respect to Pennington and Barney.
  15. Thanks King, these Stroman updates are brilliant!
  16. Maybe Bauer needed more time to warm up?
  17. If Stroman can come back and start, he really could be the piece that gives us a real shot at the whole enchilada. Now if only Travis went to Duke....
  18. Goins the power hitter up - crank it out go-go!
  19. Discussion in NY: "This is an obvious call, but is there any way we can f*** the Jays over?" " Well, let's really take a long look and give the pitcher a rest at least."
  20. Give it up mate. I agree with you and so do many others but some were/are convinced that Tulo was better as a leadoff hitter depsite all the evidence to the contrary, including the reality of the vast majority of his playing career.
  21. Why Ben Revere should be leadoff - Exhibit A.
  22. I thought his name was Chad. Huh; you learn something new everyday. Wasn't he this guy? http://media.cmgdigital.com/shared/img/photos/2012/03/31/d1/66/Pennington_807947a.jpg
  23. 1990. First game attended as a teen in the nosebleeds; Glenallen Hill hit a home run and we won 1-0 against buggered if I remember.
