    Are you Ned's nephew or something? Ned Yost is a f***ing useless twit - that is widely known and accepted. Alcides Escobar is one of the worst hitters in baseball and Ned hit him leadoff for years while he had multiple superior options. I've never actually seen anyone suggest he's a good manager. Jesus. I'm still trying to figure out if you're just trolling with most of your posts.

    Unless the DH spot is open (which means JD's fully healthy and Morales is not going to play regularly), then you'll have to accept that some combination of Grichuk, Teoscar, Grandy and Pearce are all going to split time at 2 positions (unless you're going to start giving Pillar more time off). I don't think that's going to work....nor are we going to carry 5 outfielders if Morales/JD are back. Chances are - there will be another injury that opens up at bats for Teoscar on a regular basis. That's how baseball works.

    No you're not. Gift is on the team because Tulo is hurt. If he wasn't hurt, Gift would be in AAA as depth. If either Barney or Goins were on the team and Tulo was healthy - they'd be released (unless they accept assignment to AAA) and we wouldn't have any depth.

    Holy f***. Blaine Boyer took the wheel of a bus load of Royals today. Ice off first bus broke windshield on second bus. Ice struck the bus driver and Boyer had to jump in and stop the bus.

    #1 - those guys fixing the roofs are crazy. #2 - even as a massive baseball and Blue Jays fans - I'm not sure I'd enjoy sitting through 2 full games. To each their own though!

    What happened with the Royals is somewhat common. They get a solid young core - they all peak at the right time - they win - then they get expensive and in the Royals case - they can't afford to keep them and the talent leaves.

    Blindly suggesting that others should follow suit is pretty short sighted. The Orioles seem to be following suit...they refuse to rebuild. You follow them and let me know how that works over the next 5-10 years... Teams are all using advanced projection systems and now have a much better understanding of where they are on the "win curve". Teams with a 5-10% chance of making the playoffs are no longer going to go sign that aging, declining vet to a long term deal - which hampers their future - for such a low probability of success. They've also learned that adding that vet only increases their chances by a percentage point or two.

    What the f*** is that? No player can block home plate (or any base) can they? If they could. Every fielder should be blocking the bag when the runner comes in head first.
