    Granderson has posted a higher WAR than Pillar every single season he's been in the bigs (even when Pillar was good in 2015). He's old and declining, but Pillar's also declining in the 1 area he provides value. Edit - ah f*** Term, you beat me to it. You get the thanks.

    When Girchuk, Travis and Martin start hitting, there's an excellent chance that Pillar, Teoscar, Solarte and Granderson will stop. That's how baseball works.

    Are contact rates available for minor league stats? I'd love to look further into Teoscar in Houston v. Teoscar in Toronto. The K% rate seems to have spike significantly since he was traded to Toronto.

    You're probably right but it's going to be really hard to take his bat out of the lineup right now.

    Fair - he did say right now. To be honest - I'd love nothing more to see Pujols have a bounce back year and get back to being an above average hitter (despite the fact it hurts the Jays playoff chances) . It's so sad watching the ghost of Pujols play. Maybe he's over all the foot issues...

    Remember when we though Bradley Jones might develop into a prospect? Zeuch's been great through 3 starts. K% up, BB% down, 60% GB's. I wonder how long they will keep him in Dunedin.

    Most of the annual blue collar fan favourites aren't good at baseball. (see Goins, Ryan; Kawasaki, Muninori; MacDonald, John) Personally - I too enjoy watching fringe players contribute at the ML level....even if it's a short term thing, fueled by the BABIP & baseball gods. I mean these guys have worked their asses off for so long, typically squeezing every ounce of talent out of their talent deficient bodies. It's nice to see them be rewarded from time to time.
