  1. meh - you're probably right. I just see no need to make s*** up and speech with such conviction about it when there's factual things he could talk about (if he wasn't a dinosaur). I guess the general public likes that kinda stuff. "Oh - isn't that interesting. A pitcher and a catcher are talking about how to get hitters out in the dugout. What a great young leader that Vasquez guy is because he's doing his job. I'm entertained."
  2. Can we get a list of the new posters and what their previous alias was?
  3. Did anyone catch Buck talking about an interaction between Vasquez and Matt Barnes in the dugout? Buck goes on about how Vasquez approached Barnes between innings to discuss the hitters he'd be facing the next inning and what approach they would use to get them out. Then he proclaimed Boston has a good one in Vasquez because he's such a leader. I think this is my biggest pet pev about Buck. He's done this kind of thing throughout his years in the booth. He has absolutely no f***ing idea what they are talking about in the dugout. They might have been talking about the whore they tagged last night or the steakhouse they're going to for dinner after the game. Why make s*** up and then spout it off to the viewing audience? I guess people like stories (whether they are true or not). Personally, I prefer when broadcasters stick to the facts and don't skew fans perceptions.
  4. Stop trolling with this Kevin Barker love fest please. You've had your fun, but we no longer believe your serious.
  5. I'm a little surprised Smith doesn't get a bit more hype. If he keeps that K% down below 20%, he could fly up our rankings. I didn't realise his defense was that good.
  6. Stance and swing reminds me of George Springer. The load's a little different though.
  7. Vlady isn't your everyday prospect and should not be grouped in with traditional prospects.
  8. Let's be honest - most thought Cobb was a great FA target this offseason. I thought Lance Lynn was too and he's been hot garbage also.
  9. 2018 Steve Pearce looks an awful lot like 2016 and 2014 Steve Pearce. He's an even year kinda guy!
  10. That Aaron Judge guy looks good too. 8.2 WAR last year and this year he's increased his BB%, lowered his K% (over 5%) and his pumping a 205 wRC+ JD's best season was 8.7 WAR. Even if he's completely healthy for a full season, I don't know if he touches 8 WAR in a season ever again. Judge is 26 (today - happy birthday young man) and has made massive improvements/adjustments to his game over the past 2-3 years. The best might be yet to come. I also think Correa may flirt with an 8 WAR season this year. Again, I don't think JD would get there (due to his declining defense) even if healthy.
  11. Why is Profar hitting 3rd and Gallo 5th vs. a RHP? Jed Lowrie and Matt Chapman are both top 6 in baseball in WAR (offensively)? I mean Chapman is a stud, but man they are off to great starts. Corey Dickerson has the most defensive value of anyone in baseball right now? Man - small sample sizes are awesome.
  12. 160 lbs? Jesus. I"m 6' 205 lbs. If I was 160 lbs, I feel like I'd look like a marathon runner.
  13. Is that Yennsy or Max in that gif? Here's the Yennsy write up from fangraphs. At a slight 6-foot-1, Diaz lacks size. Also his changeup and command are below average. Because of that, it’s likely a relief fit. That said, he has a 92-95 mph fastball that he can run up to 97 and knows how to use. He also has a curveball that flashes plus, giving him plenty of stuff to fit in the late innings. Diaz leans on the fastball heavily but has the plane to make it work up in the zone, drawing swings and misses on the pitch. He uses his changeup more than his curve, in an effort to develop the pitch and remain a starter, but his numbers could take a step forward if he moves to relief and largely drops the changeup.
  14. Vlady is now officially the best prospect in baseball.
  15. here you go. https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/top-22-prospects-toronto-blue-jays/
  16. Bo with a couple of triples last night. Nice to see him add some extra base hits. Gift with another 0-4 with 3K's. He now has 1 hit in 32 PA's this year with 19 K's. Can he pitch? He should probably try something else.
  17. Guys...Yennsy Diaz went another 5 innings last night without giving up a hit. 4 hits allowed in 22 2/3 inning this year.
  18. Sounds like Dustin Ackley.
  19. Fans need to come out and watch this team. This team's provided more entertainment so far this year than they did all last year combined.
  20. I mean f*** Hazel Mae, but personally, I love hearing Grandy speak. He's a total pro. Class act.
  21. yatzee. Our best outfielder coming through once again. f*** ya.
  22. I hope not. 9.35 K%, 1.04 BB%, 3.29 FIP, 0.2 WAR. He's been one of our best relievers. I'm actually shocked Gibby went to Clippard here. But then again GIBBY KNOWS BEST...f*** ya. Let's win this.
  23. f*** this isn't looking good. We have to win this one with Osuna unavailable tomorrow.
  24. I wonder how many were on low pitches too? Not sure I've ever seen him turn around a belt high fastball.
  25. 2 K's. Off night.
