  1. Our name is s*** no matter how you spell it...nobody likes being named Allen.
  2. We'd probably get along well. We're both named Allan too!
  3. Fans in general are s***. I mean seriously guys.
  4. Sorry - but it's a pointless waste of time. Who the f*** gets enjoyment out of it? Does Clayton Richards get excited because he was recognized as having the 3rd best pickoff move in the NL?
  5. It took me a couple of minutes to read it. To make intelligent picks would take some considerable effort (unless they were told to just go off their gut instincts and the purpose was to show how awful the perception of managers, scouts and executives is). Do you fill out every survey you get via e-mail too?
  6. Why would MLB waste everyone's time in filling out all that useless information?
  7. He was flaming gay - so yes, he would have.
  8. You're like my f***ing Grade 6 french teacher...
  9. I have no idea how a guy with a 18.5 BB% would give you any JPA vibe. Biggio has walked more this year in AA than JPA walked in his entire major league career...
  10. How are BR and Fangraphs so different? I know there are minor differences in how they calculate it, but that seems like a huge gap doesn't it?
  11. Sam sucks, but Fangraph's wrote an article on him, so here you go. https://www.fangraphs.com/fantasy/pitcher-spotlight-sam-gaviglio-is-testing-the-waters/
  12. I do like Biggio's swing. Simple, yet powerful. Have there been any reports on his defense improving? Is he still fringe at 2nd and 3rd? I still think he ends up like Kelly Johnson.
  13. I said this in the other thread. The Martin signing has worked out about as well as you could expect. He was a rock in our lineup when we made our push and when it's all said and done, he'll provide surplus value. Even during his declining years (where were expected), he remains a good clubhouse guy, a leader and now a mentor to Jansen. And now he's providing extra value has a utility player. He may be one of the Blue Jays best FA signings ever.
  14. I agree, but Fangraphs has Martin at 1 WAR, not 2. Where are you getting 2 WAR from?
  15. This isn't the first time this ******* has done something like this.
  16. Apparently the streak lives on. If you don't record an official at bat (unless in doing so, you record a sacrifice hit), then the streak continues.
  17. I'd love to see the Braves drill Urena the next time they face him. Like up in the throat area. He's f***ing AIDs to baseball.
  18. https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/the-next-prospects-who-could-pull-a-glasnow/ Perez and Zeuch both mentioned as potentials...
  19. Say what you will - but I still love having Martin on this team. That signing has worked out about as well as you could expect. He was a rock in our lineup when we made our push and when it's all said and done, he'll provide surplus value. Even during his declining years (where were expected), he remains a good clubhouse guy, a leader and now a mentor to Jansen. He may be one of the Blue Jays best FA signings ever.
  20. It doesn't help the SI article refers to it as a 'tear' and not a 'sprain'
  21. I tend to agree, although I would be interested to see if the league makes the necessary adjustments to him at the plate. Puig looked like he was a 150 wRC+ hitter his first 2 years too and now he's settled into a 1.5 - 3 WAR player. Ohtani was never expected to be "this good" with the bat so there's risk he'd end up being an average OFer instead of an ace pitcher. There's no denying he's a f***ing stud on the mound. It's an incredible problem to have.
  22. His walk rate has basically doubled this year as well. wRC+ up to 104 and holding his own in the power department (7 hr, 7 triples, 27 doubles). It appears it's just the BABIP gods who are depressing what has otherwise been a very strong developmental season for Samad Taylor. For a kid who just turned 20 last month - he's an exciting prospect to follow.
  23. I'm a bit surprised they aren't taking the cautious route. It's really impressive to see Ohtani's still posting a 140 wRC+.
  24. https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/jackie-bradley-jr-and-the-error-rule/ What do you guys think about errors? I will admit when I watch the JBJ play - it looks like an error and I have a hard time believing that ball is caught only 1 in 16 times at the ML level.
