    Guys - can we go back to bitching about how f***ing stupid it is that Baines got inducted into the HOF and how s***** it is that Billy Hamilton is going to KC instead of to Coors Field - or to a contender that could utilize him in a super creative kick ass way that maximizes his ability? I mean I suspect he went to KC so he guarantees himself a starting gig - but I wonder if that hurts him long term (unless he has some BABIP luck this year). I wonder if teams would pay him more if they could see his impact in a part-time/specialized role.

    Joe Carter being on the nominee list might be more erroneous as Baines getting inducted. A short list of players with more career WAR than Carter includes: Carlos Pena, Rickie Weeks Jrs, Mookie Wilson, Colby Rasmus, Royce Clayton, Erick Aybar, David Freese and Pablo Sandoval.

    Isn't this just a matter of them rebuilding and need to add assets? Maximize the return for Goldy as there's no point keeping him through a rebuild and/or risking injury or him signing elsewhere? I kinda think this is the market for good players without much control. Teams aren't giving up prospects anymore.
