  1. What would that cost us? I'm all for taking advantage of Seattle while we still can.
  2. Very interested. There is a remote possibility that Bruce bounces back to a 1.5-2 WAR player, but still... The Mariners must believe Cano is going to be pure garbage without PED's - or maybe they know he's going to just take them again and could be a high risk of getting caught? Could that be the X factor here?
  3. C - Mesoraco/Plawecki/TDA? 1st - Alonso/Cano 2nd - Cano/McNeil SS - Rosario 3rd - McNeil/Frasier LF - Cespedes CF - Nimmo RF - Conforto SP - DeGrom, Thor, Wheeler, Lugo, Matz B - s*** + Diaz They need to get a lot of middle relief and some more depth, but that's probably a good team.
  4. Does the board agree you could get more than Kelenic and Dunn for Diaz?
  5. https://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/sportsnets-jeff-blair-wins-canadian-baseball-hall-fames-jack-graney-award/ Sportsnet’s Jeff Blair has been named the winner of the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame’s 2018 Jack Graney Award. The award is given out each year to a member of the media who has made significant contributions to baseball in Canada through their life’s work. They must be running out of people to give that award to. This *******'s been doing nothing but polluting the minds of Canadians with utter nonsense his entire life. While searching this, I also found out that Blair's 2017 HOF vote got lost in the mail somehow. Based on who he voted for - maybe the Baseball Gods had something to do with it. This guy votes for some of the PED guys - Bonds, Clemens + Manny....but then goes on to vote for Jorge Posada - but not for Pudge Rodriquez? Da f*** is wrong with this guy? You know the process is broken when this ******* gets a vote. Might as well let Barker vote for christ sakes.
  6. Braves have to hang onto Riley don't they? He's their only positional prospect and is in line to take over for JD at 3rd in 2020. Edit - they also have Camargo. I don't know how likely it is that he repeats, but he was great last year. Where are they going to play him in 2019?
  7. He would have been tied with Clippard and Osuna as our 2nd most valuable reliever last year.....while playing for 5 teams!
  8. why on earth would you ever submit yourself to that ******** when you have this board?
  9. He's entering his age 36 season. Assuming he's finally off the PED's - I mean yikes, run away.
  10. get off my ass boxy
  11. Have you guys seen Operation Infecktion? It's pretty interesting - and scary.
  12. Is that wrong? You're probably right Boxy - I should just relax. But I'm allowed to hate players too.
  13. He comes off as a **** to everyone man. His mother thinks he's a ****.
  14. Mets are listening to offers for Thor. If traded, does he fetch a similarly weak return like Paxton (given the similarities they have in terms of results and inability to stay healthy)? or does it just expose how stupid the Mariners are?
  15. Perhaps in the world series he could take the "risk" and leg out a double? Think for a moment about how f***ing stupid you'd have to be to not realise the risk is worth it in the world series. And own up to your mistakes man - grow a set. There's also a difference between being a cocky ******* and trying to injure opponents. It's all irrelevant as he isn't signing here. I hope he takes the money and goes to a s***** team and loses forever.
  16. Exactly. It's one thing to not run out ever ground ball hit during the regular season. It's another to not run out an extra base hit in the World Series. Then he doubles down by showing pitifully low emotional intelligence and pure arrogance by telling people he doesn't like to hustle instead of 'maning' up for his obvious blunder. When you add that to cleating players multiple times and just generally being a massive **** and I can see why teams would question whether they want to give him $350M and build a team around him. I truly hope the baseball gods ensure he remains a lifelong loser.
  17. + it doesn't even make any sense. His BABIP ended up at .328, which isn't outrageous - especially for someone who's well above average in exit velocity and was top 10 in the league at the % of balls hit 95 MPH+.
  18. Sad day for baseball. He was quite the character and will rightful take his place in Cooperstown one day.
  19. Yeeesh - I guess we just hang onto Stro and/or Sanchez. The trade market has absolutely plummeted - nobody will give up prospects anymore.
  20. I have a feeling we won't have a "#5 Starter" - and in 3-5 years, the true "rotation" will be a thing of the past. I am bullish that the Jays have a plan to utilize Thornton in a way that gets the most value out of his arm. I fully expect us to utilize the Rays blue print and use him (and others) in a non-traditional manner.
  21. I.....I don't get it.
  22. FFS Jim. The guy doesn't kick his leg over his head when he's throwing out of the stretch.
  23. I have to say I'm not a huge fan. I actually liked the old M hats. These ones seem...empty? I think that's what I don't like...the hallow M.
  24. Bo's like - f*** this s***, I'm going to the dugout.
