It's insane to think Visquel is currently on 40% of the ballots submitted, yet he finished with about 10 career WAR less than Vazquez - who was omitted from the ballot completely.
That is crazy. Unless he finds the fountain of youth, or excels in a different role - Javier Vasquez may finish his career with more WAR than King Felix......who some may argue is HOF worthy. Let that one sink in for awhile.
It's a volume thing King - it's not your content. I'm disappointed you don't post as often as you used to. I considered you for best infrequent poster too if that helps.

I was blown away by the # of rub n tugs. There's one on every corner and they advertise/promote it. Here in Ontario - those places have to pretend to be legit massage parlors so they can milk guys after dark.
^This. I was dumbfounded when we went to Washington this past summer and the guys stand 'near' the stage and throw $1 bills at the girls....who then have to get on their hands and knees to collect them (although one place had a big broom to sweep them up - then the girls picked them up in the corner). Then the girls come around and hound you for tips.
Stripping is degrading enough - making them kneel and collect a ton of $1 bills is just cruel. Plus you look like a massive douchebag if you stand by the stage and spray $1 bills all over the girls like you're in a rap video.
Our system is way better here.
It will be interesting to see if Tulo signs with a contender - or with someone who's going to give him a lot of playing time...
You'd think a contender would make sense. He's already got the cash, he becomes a utility player on a winning team. Plays a couple times a week so he can stay fresh (as fresh as he can be).
IMO - that a common, yet big assumption. It's the type of thing that dinosaur commentators have been saying on TV for decades. Could it be true? It could, but you don't know that. The more experienced pitchers who we assume were mentally f***ed up because they were 'rushed' to the majors - they might have just sucked at baseball...
What about Muncy at 2nd? Martinez has a great bat, but I'm not sure you want Muncy at 2nd all year. I guess it could be some platoon thing where neither Muncy or Martinez are expected to get 600 PA's anyway.
Remember when the Mets built a rotation around Harvey, Thor, deGrom, Niese + Wheeler?
Pitchers are so f'ing volatile that I'm actually happy to see them trading position players to add to their rotation.
Guys - can we go back to bitching about how f***ing stupid it is that Baines got inducted into the HOF and how s***** it is that Billy Hamilton is going to KC instead of to Coors Field - or to a contender that could utilize him in a super creative kick ass way that maximizes his ability?
I mean I suspect he went to KC so he guarantees himself a starting gig - but I wonder if that hurts him long term (unless he has some BABIP luck this year). I wonder if teams would pay him more if they could see his impact in a part-time/specialized role.
