I mean, of course everyone is "available" in game 7, but you don't just throw your starters into relief roles without reasoning. Ahem Berrios for Kuch anyone?..
At least I hope they learned from their mistakes on that. We win how we win, you don't pull unjustified, desparate moves from a panic button.
I'm just so impressed by Vlad. All aspects of his game are just elevated right now. His baserunning is on point, the way he popped up after taking 3rd was beautiful. His defense has become so reliable and the bat woke up at the right time. Can't say enough really.
I mean that big risk of using a catcher as DH if if Heneimann gets injured would suck. Kirk moves to C and pitcher has to take the DH spot I believe.
That said, it's almost a shame Henimann isn't used in the postseason when he's a legit bat.
I went through the last game day thread as I wasn't online yday. By page 5, we were done, cooked, game over, swept. By page 10, you'd think we won the World Series.
Continue the momentum boys, support Scherzer.
Sucks to end the way it did, Phillies probably want his head right now but like you said he's human. Also got to give relievers the benefit when they come in with runners in scoring position and have to bail them out. It's probably the hardest job in the game.
It's not useless, Vlad came here during the off week, saw the thread title and said "Yes Big_Walleye I got to stop stop hitting dribblers back to the pitcher, thats my f***ing problem!"
Thus a star was born
Yea the eye test said Santadar was very close to breaking out all series. I thought he had good at bats and probably burned more pitches per ab than anyone or close to it (I'll wait for someone to correct me and tell me I'm stupid)
I'm just praying we don't get a 5-5 late in the game and we got the Hoff coming in to face the top of the line up. I'd rather be disappointed by the 5th lol.
