    I just watched the jays postseason highlights again, Vladdy's highlights, Springer's ALCS bomb. I'm ready to go. We were still the better team, deserved the W but it is what it is. We can rewrite history this year, let's do it.

    Maybe I'm old school but give me flamethrower Varland to close out games over a full season and I think he'd pan out well. I'd have more confidence in him unless Hoffman from October shows up.

    As a web dev, majority of users on mobile rarely have ad blockers. It's probably more to do with device use (people using the site at work for example, like myself). Check the analytics?

    lol Bichette gets announced officially in their presser and MLB posts highlights of Bellinger signing with the first out crippling Bichette..... that's a little low.

    I'm totally fine without Bellinger. I kept that guy for a few seasons in fantasy and he was hot every other year and I don't care to find out why.

    Cannot be disappointed in how it played out except just give the Dodgers the finger.

    My only concerns at this point is are we getting 2025 Springer or 2024 Springer (He is turning 37 this year) and we still have to watch Hoffman close out games. You can't convince me his playoff run is what we can expect from him in the 9th.

    Kind of my point... Sometimes money only goes so far. If wife prefers to be in LA where the travel is likely easier with a newborn (ahem Tucker) what are you going to do?

    At least we have ownership who is willing to spend and go after these guys. It feels different right now and it's still a hard sell to free agents to commit moving to another country for 7-10 years and deal with customs for 7 months of the year. Everyone knows it's a pain in the ass and the least attractive part of signing here. If Dodgers or NY are throwing FU money around you just take your shot and force them to overpay at worst.

    I mean.... they went for the better player and had cash to spend. There's also a chance Bo was checked out of Toronto long ago.

    Hot damn.... missing out on both is painful. The good news is both went to NL teams and this isn't us vs Dodgers or us vs Mets in any capacity. We are a better team than we were last year, Bo & Tucker hit the market at the perfect time with no real positional player stars coming to market for a few years. I'm happy for Bo to be honest, we weren't going to pay that and he got his bag. He might be back in a few years, who knows.
