I went through the last game day thread as I wasn't online yday. By page 5, we were done, cooked, game over, swept. By page 10, you'd think we won the World Series. Continue the momentum boys, support Scherzer.

Sucks to end the way it did, Phillies probably want his head right now but like you said he's human. Also got to give relievers the benefit when they come in with runners in scoring position and have to bail them out. It's probably the hardest job in the game.

Yea the eye test said Santadar was very close to breaking out all series. I thought he had good at bats and probably burned more pitches per ab than anyone or close to it (I'll wait for someone to correct me and tell me I'm stupid)

100% this. Just stick with the strategy, they played their asses off for home field advantage. Give it your best in Games 3 and 4. We've put up crooked numbers for 3 games in a row by our standards. Just stay the course, varland, lauer, get Schlittler out by 5 innings and do what got you here. More than half our wins have come from behind, stop panicking.

He sounds desperate saying everyone is available. He said the same thing about yesterday and he made too many quick decisions that he wouldn't do in the season.

I mean, there's a lot of what ifs in that game. - The Barger / Schneider error really changed that inning from 2 outs 1 on for Judge to 1 out with 2 on - Could have walked Judge in either scenario and got out of the inning clean in retrospect

I don't think he pitched bad. It's overblown by a well placed 100mph heater that only Judge hit out of the park in all comparables.

As someone who held on to Williams all year in my pool, his numbers are deceiving. He was trash as a closer in high leverage situations and was lights out when they took him out of that role.
