  1. LOL - This beautiful man has had over 70K views since he made his debut.
  2. Tossing it right down the middle to the Jays killer with bases loaded is risky business
  3. Yes, thanks for the insight. I watched my grandfather die from parkinsons over years of deteriating, I was very close to him. It was such an awful battle. Life is often not fair but it does come down to what you make of it in the time you have.
  4. Hmmm, do you think it would hurt the value of some of the best framers in the game?
  5. Was the challenge of balls and strikes only for Spring Training as a test?
  6. I'm sorry to hear man, I've talked to doctors and they all agree that he would have had the most peaceful death at least without pain so I'm thankful he didn't have to go through the struggles of being.... older or sick.
  7. Yea, I guess the word accepted is a bit of an overreach. The sadness is mostly missing him right now and I'm not angry, I've slowly accepting that it was his time. I feel very thankful for all the support we've had and it's allowed me to reconnect with some past friends as a result. I've also learned my mother has a lot more friends than I do.
  8. Sorry to hear as well, I hope it gets better with time. My dad's happened on the operating table during a scheduled surgery. It's been hard to accept but I'm there now.
  9. I lost my dad last week and the season couldn't have started at a better time for me. I'll be around a lot more now. Hopefully everyone else has had a good start to the year. I think the Jays look better this year than people are giving them credit for.
  10. Also, nice to see you all here. Sorry I've been almost non-existent the last couple seasons.
  11. Vlad has gone from looking like a boy to a man in a quick minute. Probably an unpopular opinion but sign the papers big man
  12. and sadly still be below replacement level.
  13. I initially thought they were likely 150m+ apart and never going to come to an agreement. This deal seems more plausible reading all the leaked info. The Jays are obviously serious about re-signing him and if they are willing to risk up to 500m on him (deferred or not), the deal should get done plain and simple regardless of who you want to blame right now.
  14. I thought it was pretty obvious he wanted to stay with the Mets but they couldn't come to terms is all.
  15. Man you seem to have such high expectations and setting yourself up for disappointment. Don't get me wrong, we've had a good off season but a lot has to go right for this team to be a great team, let alone the best team in the AL over another signing.
  16. Too early for predictions? Bichette bounces back in contract year, takes over leadoff spot by mid June. Springer gets pushed down to 8th in line up as this forum calls for him to be DFA'd by July 15th.
  17. Last month, Guerrero liked an Instagram post from a Boston Red Sox fan account, lanacionboston, which suggested that the Red Sox could land Juan Soto this offseason and Guerrero in the next, with the two teaming up with current Boston star Rafael Devers. LMAO - Talk about going down a rabbit hole
  18. I feel that's literally giving a GM no credit, where credit is due. He doesn't just print contracts for people to sign who want to play here. I think there's a lot of reasons players choose not to play in Toronto when given the choice between otherwise equal contracts. Potentially moving your family to another country for years with a single decision is not easy and it's unlikely the player himself who makes that final decision. Also dealing with the pain of customs throughout the entire year; Adam Lind was vocal about that in the past. Rogers willingness to spend and a GM's negotiating skill have to be the main factors. If you're deciding between Toronto or Dodgers/Yankees, you're probably leaning toward a baseball city built on legacy. Trout didn't attract every player to go to the Angels..
  19. Yea we start on page 5 lol
  20. LOL solid advice. 150 threads of clean up, good times.
  21. Screw all of the above - I'm on the Mets bandwagon
  22. Was the Braves' staff wearing Jay's jerseys that game?
  23. Help me decide who to root for this postseason... preferably a wild card team I think I've narrowed it down to these but open to thoughts. Orioles I always feel a division rival who wins the WS just shows how strong the division is Orioles haven't won in 40+ years and would rather them over the Yankees any day of the week. Padres/Brewers Have never won a WS Nothing bad to say about them Padres triple play W to clinch against the Dodgers was fire Braves* Assuming they get past the Royals this weekend, the Braves begin their postseason on Monday in a double header with the Mets that'll likely determine who's in or out. If that scenario plays out and if the Braves make it in, it'll be a fun ride and they'd be riding a hot streak to start the postseason. Plus, I still got a soft spot for AA. Teams I won't be rooting for: - Yankees - Dodgers - Royals (still have 2015 nightmares, altho I like Bobby Witt Jr. he just wears the wrong uniform)
