  1. Saw that highlight, that's got to be one of the worst feelings during the regular season for a pitcher except for Galarraga's perfect game taken away. That's a true RIP.
  2. Scherzer hates losing too but I think this might take the cake. My hot take is if it he was playing today they wouldn't brush off his anger issues as just being difficult. He would have been assessed and probably given medications to control his emotions in the minors before ever appearing in the MLB. Different era I guess.
  3. At this point I'm feeling bad for Bichette, he's reliving his 2024 season stat for stat.
  4. This is actually pretty great, I love the 2025 comparitive throughout. We go 'em right where we want 'em....
  5. What a wild story, thanks for that insight.
  6. Yea the W is so dumb, just see King Felix. It's why we have WAR anyway.
  7. They probably just don't want to piss anyone off, they already get s*** on for giving borderline Errors against their own team.
  8. It's technically not even the rule, it's just the scorer giving it to them every time regardless. Win (W) Definition A pitcher receives a win when he is the pitcher of record when his team takes the lead for good -- with a couple rare exceptions. First, a starting pitcher must pitch at least five innings (in a traditional game of nine innings or longer) to qualify for the win. If he does not, the official scorer awards the win to the most effective relief pitcher. https://www.mlb.com/glossary/standard-stats/win When has that ever happened? LOL
  9. Yea and Vlad has so far decided to take a vacation in May.
  10. This line up looks so sad.... Vlad's got to step up and lead this team.
  11. Yea that's the logical choice, I guess they'll use him as a starter? Yariel needs cleaning innings, he walks a s*** ton.
  12. Cease and a rested Varland. We only need 3 hits. Good combo.
  13. lol I said bring in Manoah and they started warming him up. You're welcome.
  14. I haven't been playing this so I got to go with Straw to make up ground. I'm sure he's got one more homerun left in him for this season.
  15. We got our secret weapon batting 2nd tonight I see.
  16. This is arguably the most meaningless debate I've ever seen on this board.
  17. Cherry picking years to make stats sound important... are you a social media journalist? The Jays have played in more ALCS series than the Red Sox since 2015. Fact, there are zero players from the 2018 Red Sox who play for them today... There's only one team with a winning culture at the moment between the two.
  18. Keep in mind heritage doesn't mean winning culture, we've had winning culture for the past 10 years. We lack baseball heritage because we haven't been around for 125-150 years. Also, we were very competitive with Clemens but Yankees built a dynasty by that time. We would have been a postseason team by today's rules.
  19. The nitpicker in me can't help myself.. It's May 6th
