  1. Yeah I'm in the same boat. Shapiro is great at dealing with ownership and the non baseball stuff, but if he's the road block between getting a new front office, then I wouldn't mind if he was gone too. Although Kenny Williams is available now, so we might have to be careful what we wish for with Rogers doing the hiring.
  2. Varsho against 100 mph heat. What could go wrong?
  3. Nah. The Rangers eliminating that fraud ass franchise with 10k in attendance was the best part of the post season so far. The Jays would have gotten swept and ensured more games played at Tampa this season. Better to have it this way. At least the Twins fanbase has been great in the stadium.
  4. I'm done with Atkins after this. I've always been in the middle of the two extremes that either hate him or think he's doing great (neither are true...he's firmly in between), but after today's game I don't think I'll be able to stomach watching this front office run it back in 2024 and expect different results.
  5. Kikuchi was warming up either in the 1st or 2nd inning. I know JS loves pulling starters early, especially when they are doing well, but this call isn't on him. It's on whoever made the call above him.
  6. Lol I just went on Twitter and the #1 trend in the United States is "Berrios". I don't know if that's right or not, but I hope it is.
  7. Yeah, I despise John Schneider as a manager but he had Kikuchi warming up in like the 1st inning. This decision was likely made before Schneider even woke up this morning, which is actually the scarier alternative because at least if it was the manager you can get rid of him. This s*** is the front office that isn't going anywhere.
  8. Limp dick offense and Schneider about to pull a SP early when he's dominating. 2023 in a nutshell.
  9. Davis Schneider might actually pull the baseball if he makes contact, and isn't looking to hit singles to right field, so understandable that he'd never get a post season at bat. Can't risk it.
  10. 2-0 fastball down the middle, pop up to 1B. I don't know how much longer I can last watching this.
  11. Gray hasn’t looked good. With any other offense I’d expect them to take advantage of that eventually but with this one, that’s asking a lot.
  12. This offense is unwatchable. Station to station because no one can get an extra base hit, and can’t hit with RISP all season.
  13. Why is Kikuchi warming up already?
  14. Biggio came into that at bat wanting to draw a walk or get caught looking. There was no in between.
  15. People wanted the Twins because they are not as good as the Rays. They could still sweep the Jays here and it wouldn’t be all that surprising but I don’t think it’s under estimating the opponent as much as wanting to face the inferior team. Jays offense is just ass cheeks so it doesn’t matter who the opponent is.
  16. And their solution is to build a new stadium in the same location. What a joke.
  17. I can't imagine a scenario where Guillermo and Hudgens are brought back if the Jays get swept or lose in the WC round. Someone has to take the fall for the offense and it won't be the hitters (half of them will be replaced anyway due to impending free agency). Other than that, I wouldn't expect much change. 3 million fans and a playoff appearance. Rogers is probably happy.
  18. Even vetrins like Springer and Chapman suddenly saw signifiicant drops in pull % this season from last season. It has to be an org thing. I don't recall seeing many balls pulled in this game. Everything was dead center or hit the other way. It's infuriating to watch. Expecting to get 4-5 hits in an inning mixed with some walks is not going to work in the playoffs.
  19. Losing after only scoring a run with no home runs. This was the most 2023 Blue Jays game ever.
  20. This offense was unwatchable in the regular season, so we probably shouldn't be surprised at what we are seeing so far.
  21. Merrifield instead of Babe due to vetrin presents.
  22. Lefty coming in to face Varsho and Belt. I wonder what Schneider does.
  23. This umpire is not good. Damn KK needs a big hit here.
