  1. Well I didn’t really mean for it to be a troll. I wanted to discuss our bullpen leading the league in whiff rate after a lot of the board being so pissy about Atkins not finding enough “swing and miss” for months last season. I can’t remember who it was but some newer guy posted about Atkins inability to build a bullpen multiple times each and every day. It gave me a headache. But then when I typed it out I started remembering all the other things I was right about as well so I stuffed them in there too. I should probably just keep it to one topic at a time though. My bad.
  2. We lost the second because we signed Bassitt right?
  3. It is early but it's been so lopsided so far that it would take a huge reversal of fortunes for those two to make us regret picking Gausman over Ray.
  4. Hopefully Lance Lynn is fired up after that salad comment and beats the Rays tonight.
  5. Yeah this doesn't sound good. Has he had an MRI yet?
  6. Yeah he is. He seemed like the odd man out at certain points this offseason too. Goes to show how stacked our bullpen is.
  7. Taking that Orioles gonna be contenders prediction to the bank already huh? And while we're on the topic of offseason predictions, how's Trevor Bauer's season going as the staff ace of the Dbacks? lol
  8. Seriously though, who were the idiots running the “Atkins can’t find swing and miss” brigade? Let’s drag them
  9. Maybe but he’s played 162 games twice before.
  10. I can’t remember who the “swing and miss” dummies were exactly but based on your bitchy reply I can only assume that you were one of the ringleaders. And listen pal, I don’t regret picking KK at half the price over Bellinger. On a dollar per war basis I’m right on that one so far anyway but nice try. I also am not getting my panties in a bunch over a 24 year old who has had a few good starts in AA either. And I’m glad your boy Jansen is flourishing as the backup catcher where he belongs. Not sure if you actually watch the games or not but Kirk almost single handedly won us the game yesterday against an All Star pitcher. Yeah he’s fat so after that Herculean effort he deserves a day off but I can’t wait for Jansen to run into one against this AAA s*** baller and watch all you fanboys clap like seals for him like he should be the starter. Give me a break bud.
  11. On top of the Biggio fanboys finally giving up I’ve also noticed the Jansen fanboys are awfully quiet but the “swing and miss” whiners have been completely blown out. Jays bullpen leads the league in whiff percentage. Lol
  12. Yeah he’s kind of old so I get not playing him 150+ but 120 isn’t enough. Especially when he’s hot like this.
  13. I hope we hammer this guy so bad that he gets sent down to AAA and never gets another shot at the bigs ever again. Like 8 runs with no outs type of outing.
  14. My scouting report also reads that I’m a “great strike-thrower.” The strikes are coming in at 60 mph but still.
  15. When the best thing a scouting report can say about a pitcher is that he’s a “great strike-thrower” you know the guy really sucks. Hammer the Jays run line boys this one is going to be a blowout.
  16. Mariners are desperate but it’s not going to work. Shitstain McGee is going to get his tits lit today.
  17. I’ve been telling you that Craig Biggio’s son is garbage for years now Jonn. Glad you are finally listening.
  18. Yeah I remember reading about it last year during Semien’s slow start after he signed that big contract.
  19. We also need to get payback on Whit getting beaned last year. That, along with John Schneider not understanding that defensive replacements are the way to go with a lead, ignited their entire comeback as Tilapia came into the game and f***ed up a couple of 50/50 balls that Whit probably would have caught. Beaning Teo seems a little harsh and so does beaning Julio so I vote for someone on the same talent level as Whit. Maybe Cal Raleigh?
  20. Hoping Teo goes 0-4 with 4 Ks as the boos rain down on him and the Jays win 8 to nothing.
  21. Game 1: Mariners have the favorable pitching matchup but they play in Philly today and then hop on a plane for tomorrow's game. They are also a West Coast team. I bet the odds are pretty even on this one but I don't have a great feeling about it after watching Castillo dominate us in the playoffs. Game 2: We are big favorites in this one. Game 3: Bassitt is probably the better pitcher and it's at home. His stats don't look great but after that first game he's thrown 4 straight QS. I think we are a decent favorite in this one. All said I think we take 2/3.
  22. The other relief options on the 40 man SUCK. Jay Jackson, Thornton, Hatch, etc. Calling upon someone not on the 40 man doesn't really help the situation either, it would just add to the logjam. For that reason it makes sense to keep Bass and move him down the pecking order while he works through the kinks. They could juggle it by optioning Pop or using the IL for both real and phantom injuries. It's not ideal but this is the inconvenience we deal with when it comes to having a stacked bullpen. We could also try him for a non 40-man lotto ticket but I doubt he'd fetch much. It would just suck to lose Bass for nothing, get a couple of injuries and then all of the sudden Jay Jackson and Trent Thornton are logging meaningful innings.
  23. It’s good to see that they are bonding over actual sustenance like food instead of shoveling drinks down his throat every night like they did last year.
